Had a delicious dinner here on Friday. Didn’t have a reservation but was seated immediately. Lovely mocktail selection and great ambience. Tried lots of little plates and enjoyed everything we received, including lovely dessert too. Definitely recommend for authentic Japanese food.

Wow what an experience! After visiting Japan earlier this year I knew what authentic Japanese food tasted like and this restaurant did not disappoint! To ne honest the food here was better than some of the meals I tried in Japan! The interior is themed well with a Japanese style and the layout is well organised with a good atmosphere and layout. Our waitress Lucy was brilliant! Very efficient and wish her well on her masters degree. The food was brilliant with a great range to select from. Prices vary from low to high giving you a range to choose from depending on your budget. I have become very picky of the restaurants I choose to eat at these days due to the increased prices for small low quality portions but this was not the case at Kibou! We both thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return. I heard the main chef is Japanese and wish to thank him for bringing his incredible skills to this restaurant. Thank you all for a memorable dining experience. I shall return! 5* from me.

We've been here twice in the last month and loved it! The food is great, with several options even if you don't eat sushi. My favourite is the Katsu curry, will keep returning for that. Only suggestion would be to have a more diverse dessert menu. @acoupleondates (Instagram)

The staff were so lovely and accommodating two young ladies in particular and a gentleman who I believe was the manager. They were really welcoming! Offered great recommendations for drinks. The food wasn’t to my likings some things could have done with a little more flavour or less sauce drizzled on top of dishes. Cocktails were amazing they were the highlight of the night, however the Food was not the star of the shown the chicken sharer starter was okay although i Wouldn’t say it is a shareable portion. Surf and turf sushi platter was covered in a sticky Sauce I didn’t like it much, teriyaki chicken was slightly dry however one of the sushi rolls were really nice (can’t remember the name) I would come back but for Small plates / drinks

It was a really lovely experience for us to eat there. The staff was very kind and was taking a lot of care of us, asking many times if we're okay and don't need anything. We were served fast. The food was even better! Unusual tastes and high quality of used product made it a great experience for us. We'd love to be back one day.

Thoroughly enjoyed KIBOU experience! Went with my son & daughter. Staff were very polite, food was delicious & beautifully presented too! Menu was easy to understand, so you could see how many sushi you would get, prices were about right. Will be visiting again with my husband.

Some of the best food I've ever experienced in my life! The atmosphere is awesome too. Big shout out to our server Maddi; an absolute legend, get them a raise asap! Can't wait to visit again

Me and my partner went here a week after they opened and were reluctant intially as there is always a settling in period for new restaurants. The service and food was 10/10. As frequent visitors of the London restaurant which we both love we confessed this restaurant is just as good! Special mention to the restaurant staff (Maddi) for some suggestions on the menu items. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be sure to come back if we are up North again.

We’ve been waiting to go here since they opened but weekends have been extremely busy, and now we’ve finally been, it’s easy to under why. The food is fantastic! Along with that the staff are all lovely and the drinks are good and interesting. I’d like to see more non sushi dishes in the menu as there’s so many amazing Japanese dishes which deserve a spot on menus over here, but we had a mix of small plates, sushi, and sashimi and everything was great. Will definitely be going back.
