Not a bad chippy other than their lamb doner being is so inconsistent. So many times they give the rubbish end bits, especially in the lunch deal. Makes you wonder the quality of it if they think serving this is ok. Chilli sauce is also generic.
Just purchased 2 meals from here. Lady behind the counter was super friendly and kind. Had a really good experience with this place. Good prices and excellent quality food. We will be back. Thanks Dan
There was a time when this place served really good food at a decent price. That was some time ago. Their prices have rocketed, and the quality is not as good as it was. This is a fish and chip shop. How can they justify charging nearly £16 for a fish and chips via Ubereats? Just look at their prices, they must now be one of the most expensive fish and chip shops in Leicestershire. The quality of their food has also gone down. I use to love their donner kebab. Don't know if they have changed their supplier but their donner kebab tastes like card board. Only good thing I can say is that their battered sausages taste really nice but also have gone up considerably in price. I am really sad to write this review as I have used this shop for over 10 years. Due to their high prices and not so good quality, me and my family will be using somewhere else. The owner is really nice though as we always have a chin wag about Parklands Leisure Centre where we were both members once.
Visiting from the north for a few days. Found the fish bar on Google so gave them a try. Ordered a small fish and chips twice and honestly I could have fed 5000 with the portion! It was massive, and very tasty, Best fish I've had in a while, the menu was extensive with a wide variety of greek food.
Fabulous food, reasonable prices and even better service. Be kind to your local chippy! Always greeted with a smile.

Tried this place a few times on the way back from Sainsbury's... had the fish, chips, lamb and chicken doner and its all freshly made and really tasty. I live 15 minutes away and I now use this as my local! Service is quick and great!
Oadby Fish Bar has been our local chippy for almost 20 years. Great food, consistently good service even during busy evening periods. Nick and his team are friendly and the food is amazing and authentic. Would highly recommend the souvlaki. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes.
