   Having visited Leicester three times over the past six years, I continue to be impressed by its food scene. My first experience in 2018 left a lasting impression—the atmosphere was welcoming, the food was great, and the restaurant felt like a safe and enjoyable place to experience. Fast forward to 2025, traveling from Southeast Asia, we decided to have a night in and sought out a place that could deliver both quality and flavor. Bawarchi did not disappoint. The lamb and prawns in their signature platter were nothing short of soul-satisfying—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and bursting with flavor. Excellently paired with whiskey. A gentleman’s drink of choice.

   A local favourite, food had been consistently good for a long time, service is great. Can get rowdy on football match evenings so check the calendar if you don’t like the noise…personally I think it just adds to the atmosphere

   Food was nice but curry was different to any other Indian chicken curry I've ever had. Extremely disappointed with the chapattis as they were warmed up cheap supermarket chapattis and not freshly made. Ruined my meal when that's my favourite part. Won't be returning.
