Went for a carvery tonight, it was just lovely. Food was hot and all fresh, the meat was delicious. Service was 100% friendly and very efficient. Staff looked clean and smart. Man who served us in the bar was friendly and well mannered, makes a change these days. Would highly recommend. Thank you to the young server who chased after me with my bag which I had left behind. Well done guys, will return

Dropped in unplanned for Sunday lunch. Staff were delightful and the carvery was just as good. They even arranged the sunshine. It’s a very popular pub and I can see why. Recommended.

Went Wednesday lunch expecting a comprehensive and good priced range of menus as seen on the web. Actuality was the opposite. We don't have a website was the response, that was the previous owners We can't change it. So beware of what you see on the internet. In practice the menu was adequate and all four dishes were fine with service pleasant. A little slow but assume that was because food was individually prepared and caused no problems. Good portions leaving no room for dessert! Get the web sorted and this will be 5 star.

I arranged a summer barbecue at the Dog and Gun for our local walking club. From our first meeting Charlotte was very helpful and accommodating. On the day of the barbecue we couldn't have asked for more. The food was plentiful and delicious. The lady that served the barbecue Jay was extremely efficient and although there were 46 of us, we were all served quickly. To top it all off Charlotte had arranged for a singer to come along and provide us with an afternoon of fabulous entertainment from the 50s through to the 80s. A big thank you to Charlotte and her team for providing us with a wonderful afternoon of good food and entertainment.
