“The staff we meet on our stayed really made this visit, we stayed on a Sunday night. Hotel grounds were tidy and clean. Receptionist was very friendly and welcoming along with all the staff we saw on our visit. Hotel and rooms do have quite a few stains on furniture and floor, however maybe hard to remove without a vac, so this is completely understandable but the room was clean as I could ask and clean bedding and mattresses covers. Sadly didn't sleep much and woke every hour but this is due to generally not sleeping well in other places. Rooms were very quiet and had air-conditioning so definitely recommend for a good night sleep. Food was very good and a lot of choice and kids eat free when we stayed. Highly recommend.”

“I came into this shop for a nice small meal, after tasted the meal… I was delighted with the food, I had to try other things to eat too! Talk about being a foodie! The portion sizes were generous, I was so happy with the meal. The hospitality were friendly and made me laugh and smile. “Multiple outstanding experiences! My grandma has been using this jewellers for many decades and recommended his services for custom jewellery alterations. Recently had my wedding ring downsized four sizes (other places advised they could not accommodate this). Very reasonable priced and work was completed in 2 weeks. Also had a family keepsake re-stone, again be try fair priced. Was advised it would take 4 weeks to seek the specific stones and the ring was completed in exactly that time frame. Staff very chatty and friendly, overall I would recommend to anyone. They have a selection of different types of jewellery and I will definitely be returning.”

“Quirky little cafe in an ideal location in wigston. Food is lovely and the atmosphere is relaxed. We could spend the whole day here, chatting, eating and playing the board games. Definitely worth a visit. We are looking forward to the summer visits.”

“My friend recommended here for a Full English breakfast as I've been living abroad for many years. We visited quite late so the breakfast had technically ended and they had ran out of bacon but the lovely lady said she would pop to the shop to get some just so she could make the full breakfast and it was definitely worth it. Amazing food and service.”

“An excellent meal, perfectly cooked and served in a timely manner considering 8 tables all filled up at 7pm on a Saturday night. Those who work in or have worked in the catering trade will understand that this can cause an issue in taking orders for drinks and food, never mind preparing it. Our experience was A1 first class. Good, flavourful food takes time and boy is it worth it! This place served us great food in a timely manner with Jeff and his team, short handed though they were, being first class in their approach. 10/10 for me. Would recommend the butter lamb main and the chicken 65 as a starter if you like a bit of fiery heat.”

“Been coming here for years for take away cobs and always fresh, hot and tasty. Had a sit in breakfast today which was beautiful. Always friendly staff and fresh cooked food. If you want a posh cafe go elsewhere. If you want proper old school cafe with hot fresh food that’s not shoved in a microwave then come here and support your local small business.”

“First time ordering burgers with potato tots lovely food burger was really nice even the salad fresh potato tots cooked to perfection burger was juicy but not greasy just like the tots food arrived on perfect temperature still this was surprising as iv stopped using uber eats recently due to delivery times taking 2 hours from a restaurants not even a mile away 10 stars to don Carlos for keeping everything on point”

“We had a lovely English breakfast at Buddies Café with the whole family, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was fresh, delicious, and served hot — everything from the eggs to the vegan sausages was cooked just right. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly. Definitely one of the best spots for breakfast in Leicester. Highly recommended — we’ll be coming back soon!”

We were so well looked after throughout our time spent there, and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone who joined us had nothing but very positive comments. “I go here all the time, for fancy or casual. It is just so beautiful compared to some turkish restaurants. The food may be 'simple' to others, but it is still delicious. I would definitely recommend: the staff and chefs are super friendly and the place is super clean. 5 STARS!!!”

When it's busy the atmosphere changes slightly - so good to hear people talking and laughing rather than looking down into a mobile phone. Don't hesitate, book a table and enjoy a very relaxing meal, we have tried most of the main courses on the menu and all are equally good as each other if one were to be picked as a favourite then Chicken Tikka Karahi is my go to main course the chapati, naan, rice etc.....just choose your favourite and you are on to a winner of a dinner.”

“Absolutely superb pub! Stu cooks from fresh! No microwave going on here and, after a broken glass, seeing Jay clean up, sweeping into every nook and cranny it's obvious why the place is immaculate! Brilliant venue, high quality food and staff anyone would be proud to have as part of their team. Jay's mum deserves a medal for raising a son who knows what mum's version of clean is and knowing how to achieve it! Highly recommended The Navigation!!!! Parking, views of the canal, lots of different areas to sit, so you can be as sociable or as friendly as you like. Warm welcome, beers kept to perfection! Clean toilets too!”
