   It’s technically 5 stars however I rated it 4 because the food is nice and all that Waiting times is mediocre could be worse but it could also be better It could be worse because I could be waiting 45 minutes to an hour but/however anyway It takes/taken/took 15 minutes today for me to leave the fish shack but how come If it sells fish and chips and battered sausage and only then as-well as that kebab then I think that you should sell pizza 2 aswell as that because blue breeze in wigston does then how come it doesn’t sell pizza here how come why I’m shocked/surprised.

   Chips ok just ok! Fish yellow frozen haddock been defrosted and left for a least 4 days batter thick and soggy battered sausages repeated and then battered with same soggy batter , I like to support local chippies but some give the rest a bad name , turn your fryers off and go home, let someone else with passion run your shop

   been feeling disappointed with our local chip shop so wanted to go a bit further out to try a new spot. Very happy with our choice! The staff were very friendly, the food was fresh, tasted great and really good value for money. Was definitely worth the extra travel and will be returning.

   Another chip shop in leicester that seems to think cooking food at lunch time and leaving it out in room temp in the summer. No wonder the food is disgusting. Amazing they have a 5 star food hygiene. It's not that the food tastes horrible but it's actually illegal to reheat it especially as its sitting in the "danger zone"

   Wife and I had different experiences at the same time. After a hard day and struggling to find a fish and chip shop half decent in Leicester I treated us to fish and chips from The Fish Shack. The customer service is really good, very friendly and smiling. They even had banter with one of their regulars. I chose this place based on location being close to my home and the many 5 star reviews. Here is my full evaluation... Wife had small fish and chips with curry sauce. Portion size was very adequate, however, the fish was tepid but you could tell it was a quality product as was flaky and white. The batter became soggy due to loss of temperature.The chips were mildly warm. We both agreed the curry sauce seemed very sweet. She would have given 2 stars for hers. I had large fish and chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. The chips I agreed was mildly warm, but my fish was piping hot with crispy batter. This makes me think that maybe small fish was under a heat lamp whilst the large fish was cooked fresh. Mushy peas very generic (Wife makes better after adapting a 30p can). I also ordered a large portion of doner meat to have with curry sauce (just because I'm strange like that). The meat was very greasy and after turning the flash on whilst taking the picture I discovered just how much it shined. Even the curry sauce had a shine to it, possibly from oils used. I was willing to give a 4/5 for my whole experience so between us we settled on 3 stars. I have had much worse in Leicester, however as of writing this have found nothing better.

   Purchased a large fish and chips and waited for it to be freshly made in the shop. The fish was fine and hot but the chips were just warm. Really disappointing felt like the chips were re-cooked.
