   They are basically loan sharks. Avoid at all costs. The directors of this company are making a fortune and getting away with it. They shouldn’t be allowed to legally trade, but unfortunately they sum up the state of this country. I borrowed £25,000 from them in 2016 as a secured loan over a mortgage term. I have just sold my house and the redemption figure was £25,250 8 years later. My monthly payment was £430. I have basically paid them £42,000 and I owed them £250 more than the loan I took out. This is legally called a front loaded loan where basically you pay only interest for 15 years and then start paying off the loan the last 7 years. That’s the legal term for it. The real name for this is a loan shark operating legally from the comfort of an office. I don’t know how they sleep at night ( apart from very well in their luxury mansions!)

   I would be very careful using this firm - they are inflexible, prone to not being accurate with the truth and apply charges if payment is a few days late. I have had a successful finding against them through the FOS but to have to go this far is ridiculous. They have consistently insisted that payments are a month late when they are late by a couple of days, are very aggressive in the way they deal with customers and will not uphold complaints. I asked to change my payment date to later in the month due to a change in salary payment after I was made redundant and was told I would have to pay a double payment and therefore be constantly in advance. I could not do this so now they have the ability to keep charging for late payments because my salary date has changed. I have been forced to complain to the FOS because of their attitude, they constantly claim, if I pay by cheque, that they do not receive the cheques and just seem to be utterly disorganised. I will be glad to pay them off and never have anything to do with them again. They are expensive in any event but I have never had the misfortune previously of having to deal with a company like this one. I told them not to call me about anything as I wanted everything in writing but they would still do it and I would have to remind them not to do it. They will also consistently mess around with your credit score almost as though they are trying to punish you for being a few days late although guidelines are that you should not report to the credit agencies until a loan is a full payment and full month in arrears. Totally and utterly untrustworthy. I note there is a review under my review of 5 stars now but that this has no detail and would question whether this person is actually a customer.
