This used to be our local but most recently the food has not exceed my expectations. There was no salt in the somoas the spinach and paneer curry was bland and very thick. There was hardly any paneer peices in the curry. I feel a little disappointed that the quality has gone low.

Always amazing food and service from Indian sweet box. The food is so delicious, particularly love the chaat, chilli chips and the paratha boxes. Aman and others at the store are always so welcoming and accommodating! ( only took one photo as we ate the rest too quick!)

Just had food here and honestly, it was beautiful. Real comfort. The flavours are spot on, the portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh. The people here are kind, warm, and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Proper hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Heard about Indian Sweet Box on social media. Just had to make the trip from Birmingham to try it out. Thankfully they had a bit of indoor seating with room for our pushchair. Every single thing about this place was absolutely fantastic! So glad we made the trip! Have to admit, after learning about their prices, I was a bit sceptical, thinking that the portions would be tiny. So glad I was wrong. I satisfied my pau bhaji craving for Β£3. 99. Where else can you get such a delicious, filling portion of pau bhaji for that price? Everything was remarkably cheap and delicious. The samosas were probably the best I've ever had. So filling and tasty, not overly greasy. Had the daal kachori and ghobi paratha box which came with dahi and daal. Everything was so delicious, we got a mithai box to take away. Got a pista barfi, carrot barfi, coconut barfi, chocolate barfi, pista roll, and something we just had to try, the snickers barfi, which was so good, better than an actual snickers bar in my opinion! All of this, the mithai box and lunch, for less than Β£15!! My wife and I both left feeling satisfied and stuffed! I loved how everything was made fresh. It was evident that the samosas and ghobi paratha, were fresh, made in house. It really came across in the unique, beautiful taste. I'm going to say that I feel the mithai is made in house too. I've tasted a lot of mithai and theirs is outstanding, the best! None of it was overly sweet. They were all more fragrant than anything. Most mithai tends to be overpowered with sweetness and all tastes the same. We could actually taste what the barfi were meant to be... coconut tasted of coconut, pista of pista etc. and the snickers barfi was out of this world! It's not often you get such fresh, amazing home cooked food at such prices and also meet genuinely kind people! The lovely man who works there even gave us some hot jalebi that had just been fried, for free, as we were leaving! Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Shame we don't live closer, or we would be regular customers!

We ordered a couple of dishes as my wife was visiting relatives. We only ordered the curries as my wife had already made the chapatis - we are Indian. I don't think that I have ever tasted worse food than from this place. We were shocked as the food was utterly tasteless. By tasteless, I do not mean there wasn't salt or masala, but we felt as though we were eating liquified cardboard. The daal makhni looked a really strange colour and tastes just as strange - we would never have guessed we were eating an Indian dish. I eat daal makhni quite frequently and my wife regularly cooks it at home. What we were sent was not daal makhani in any shape or from. Our other vegetarian dish was just as bad. It was sadly a complete waste of our money and we won't order from this place again. They are pricier than most Asian shops and it just goes to show that paying more a meal does not mean that it will be any better. I hope this place takes this review constructively and hopefully either trains their chef to cook curries properly or they get a new chef.

Indian, Punjabi, vegetarian, takeaway newly opened in Oadby, just opposite Asda. Great choice, good prices ( not too expensive). It serves sweets and savouries. We had the aloo paratha box which was really good ( each box has 2 aloo parathas, a bowl of lentils, a bowl of yougurt and an onion and chilli salad). We also had their samosas( excellent) aloo tikki and paneer roll. All served with a tamarind chutney. The only criticism is that we did find the aloo tikkis and paneer rolls quite oily. Perhaps it needed draining on paper towels before being served. Service was courteous and the place was clean.
