   Couldn’t believe the difference in this chippy compared to the other local one (mentioning no names) tried it tonight and will be using It from now on and recommending to people 100%. Lovely lady served me. I had mini fish and chips with peas and when I picked up the box I couldn’t believe the weight of it brilliant value for money freshly cooked in front of you can’t Fault it.

   If could give a minus figure I would. Came to this fish shop on a Saturday afternoon and as I spoke to the Asian man behind the counter another customer walked in and he proceeded to not only ignore me, but serve the customer who had just walked in and not even take my order. The other customer after ordering noticed I hadn’t ordered and pointed this out to the Asian man behind the counter. He simply winked at the gentleman and made a slight comment. The gentleman after this commented to the asian man that he seems to have a preference, but this didn’t improve the service. I decided to walk out because it was not worth spending my money there and was disappointed that a black woman can be treated so appallingly by another ethnic minority. Will never return here and would not recommend this chip shop to anyone.

   The Kebab was absolutely awesome. Proper old school chippy Kebab. Top quality marinated chicken and Donner that has a decent flavour. Naan bread was also lovely and salad super fresh and crunchy. Leagues ahead of any of this Just Eat/ Deliveroo Carp. Oh, and the portion was so large, i now have 2 days worth of Kebab and chips left. Putting the chips in the air fryer made them super crispy and delicious. One other thing, when i went in, the first thing they asked me is if i wanted any fish cooking, sign of a chippy that is happy to cook to order so fresh. Good stuff.

   Look at the absolute state of these scallops!! 2 burnt to a crisp & the other raw on the inside. Burger was mushed & the chips were so stale they tasted like they were made yesterday. And delivery was over 30 minutes late. Won't be using this place again and certainly would never recommend! Vile

   I have got an upset stomach after only eating a little bit. The kebab meat was microwaved in front of me out of a box and as you can see by the photos it’s all burnt left over meat. I said I only want a little sauce the lady covered the chips in sauce then the meat, thinking she would disguise the left over food she was reheating. I ordered a pie also and that was microwaved in front of me making it all soggy. The lady kept touching the pie with her hands. I brought this up with her in person and she said no no it is all fresh. Thank god I took a video of her doing all this. I have reported this to the food standards agency Please avoid this place.

   Ordered some fish bites for my doggy so he didn’t feel left out while we ate our fish and chips… The fish bites smelt very very fishy totally pungent and tasted off.. EVen the dog turned his nose up! Waste of £3.50 as i chucked them straight in the bin.. however our fish, chips & kebab were ok I am just disappointed with the fish bites

   I'm writing this because I've seen some negative reviews. For the record, I've had chips from here 4 or 5 times in the last 6 months, and they've Always been good, and generous portions. I've just had a donner batch and separate chips which were delicious. As good as Alex's (former owner) or I wouldn't go back. All chippys can be hit and miss with fresh chips but mine have always been spot on. Really friendly people aswell. if something was unfortunately not up to my standard I'd be disappointed, but I'd like to think I'd give people chance to put it right once rather than trying to harm their new business trolling on here. (Twice and I'd incinerate them) Each to their own though. Thanks for the meal tonight fishnet.
