Never experienced a worse meal out than this. We made a last minute booking for 8 of us following a visit to Coombe abbey with my nephews. From start to finish the experience was a joke. No-one came to our table for the first 10 minutes to take drinks or anything. When they did arrive it took nearly 25 mins just to get our drinks. Due to a calamity of them not having anything we seemed to order (for reference these were fairly basic drinks such as a lemonade) in stock. They then got the order wrong three times. The waitress actually had to return to the table to ask what two of us had ordered (a note pad might have been useful when taking an order). The kids apple juices we ordered then arrived in basically pint glasses with no straws for my 4 year old nephew who couldn’t even pick up the glass. We then had to request straws for these and wait another 5 mins for these (bit of common sense here would have gone a long way). The food was mediocre at best. My dad and his partner ordered a sharing platter which once didn’t come with any plates or anything form them to eat off other than a large tray. Normally any kind of sharing platter would be accompanied with at least a few side plates for the two sharing it. (Considering this cost over £40 for just this I don’t think this would have been too much to ask). When the food did arrive it was dumped on the table reluctantly by another waitress who couldn’t have looked less happy to be there who then totally ignored us when we told her the food order was once again wrong. When we finally got the order changed all that had happened was they had clearly scraped a few bits off the plate and sent out the same food. To add to the whole atmosphere there was a group of very large drunk men a few tables away slamming on the tables, making a huge amount of noise who had clearly had too much to drink (at around 6.30pm on a saturday night) yet still were being persistently ploughed with more and more drinks. Once we finally got the food we had to request knives as apparently these aren’t provided (surprised we didn’t get charged extra for these tbh) no check back was given and no-one came back to the table until we stopped and requested the bill. When we received the bill it was £190 which including a non optional 10% service charge due to the fact we were a party of 7 or more (even though only 6 of us were over the age of 5. Upon inspection we had also been charged for the wrong food (more expensive meal than we’d ordered) and the drinks that were out of stock that we’d requested. When we challenged this the waitress said oh that was instead of the drink you ordered to which I queried if the price was the same to which the waitress said I think so and after pushing this she then checked and the drink we’d replaced on the order was £2 cheaper. The final bill still came to £180. Which we reluctantly paid (I ended up getting charged for half of this as the waitress didn’t check what I wanted to pay before charging me). Single worst dining experience of my life. The level of customer service wasn’t even basic. I worked in the industry for several years so I am always relatively understanding but there was no excuse for this level at any establishment. Avoid at all costs!!!

I'm not the greatest fan of TGI Fridays restaurants. The menu never appeals to me and isn't overly exciting. I ate here as a guest at the Premier Inn nextdoor for 20% off the total, because it was convenient and to see if my previous poor experiences at other TGI Fridays restaurants could be exceeded. On arrival, it is unclear whether you wait for a table or just walk in and find one, it wasn't particularly busy but only limited numbers of staff serving so eventually I was signalled at that they would be with me and waited to be seated. I ordered the 8oz rump steak, cooked medium with peppercorn sauce and the house salad (fries with everything gets boring) with the refillable coke zero. My drink didn't take too long and my food took a little longer, no great time difference. The steak was disappointing, it was cooked how I had asked for it. It was just a poor piece of steak, grisly and a big piece of fat. The peppercorn sauce was in a tiny pot, the slaw was ok and the mapled corn ribs I enjoyed (basically quartered corn on the cob) and I thought the house salad was good too, apart from the two or three pieces of lettuce which had either been under a hot light too long or we're quite old. The menu is never cheap at TGI Fridays which is another reason for not rating it highly. It's not that you pay higher prices and get amazing food. Michael who was serving was great, all I can say is thank god for the discount. I will look to dine elsewhere, unfortunately it didn't exceed my expectations which is a shame.

Visited this TGIs on a Sunday evening, the restaurant had 3 other families in at the time. We arrived at 7pm to be shown a hand writtenlist of items they did not have (shown), we were seated and drinks brought. We ordered our food and over an hour later, half of our family had their food brought over. As two of the items were missing due to lack of food, we asked to substitute for another side. This had not been added as advised and we had to ask for more. Another 10 minutes later, my dinner was brought to me. I ordered short rib fajitas. The short rib was tiny, the guacamole, sour cream etc were delivered in the tiniest of sauce bowls, however there was a lot of wraps, just not much to fill them. Everything was overcooked and not very hot. The people on the next table had the same problem. On the whole, this is the worst TGI we have ever been to and will definitely not be returning. Visit at your own risk.

TGI Fridays is a solid choice if you’re craving classic American grill food in a lively, casual setting. The menu has all the favorites—burgers, ribs, steaks, wings, and plenty of shareable appetizers. Their Jack Daniel’s glaze is a standout—it adds a sweet, smoky flavor that works perfectly on ribs or chicken. The atmosphere is fun and energetic, with music, sports on screens, and a friendly vibe that works well for groups or casual nights out. Service is usually upbeat and accommodating, though it can get busy at peak times. Prices are mid-range, and portions are generous, so you get good value, especially if you take advantage of their specials or happy hour deals. Desserts like the brownie obsession are rich and indulgent, a nice way to wrap up the meal. Overall, TGI Fridays isn’t about fine dining—it’s about comfort food, big flavors, and a fun, no-frills experience. Great for casual hangouts, birthdays, or just when you’re craving something grilled and satisfying. Just to add, and never experienced this, but the waiting time to pay the bill was long!!!

I went for the first time to a TGI restaurant 2 years ago with big expectations but because I was so disappointed with the food I never went again until tonight. Because this was the only restaurant near the hotel and also because we had a 20% discount on food I decided to give it a chance to again be extremely disappointed. We’ve been seated as soon as we entered the restaurant and didn’t take long to be served. We’ve ordered nachos which are very far from being good, barely no cheese, instead of guacamole we had bits of avocado and small quantity, also small quantity of sour cream, the tomato sauce tasted like the one from supermarkets and the worst of all instead of fresh chillies we got tinned ones which only tasted like vinegar which completely ruined the whole dish. My husband said it was the worst nachos he ever had and I thought the same. It took us 32 minutes to get the meals, I had the ultimate half rack of ribs for an incredible £24.95 which came with very dry and tasteless corn ribs, coleslaw lacking on sweetness which I barely touched, unbelievable small portion of fries very salty, the only thing that tasted amazing was the ribs. No one came to our table to check if everything was ok, we’ve never at any point were asked if the food was okay. We ended up paying £58.32 with the discount of 20% off food, we would’ve paid £69.75 if it wasn’t for the discount. If we take into account that we had only one starter, two mains and 3 drinks two mocktails for the price of one and a coke, the price is very high for what is served, also a burger that costs almost £20 it’s incredibly pricey. I won’t bother to give another chance at TGI, I’m not the kind of person that finds ok to waist money on poor quality food.

A nice place to visit. A bit expensive but nice. Food is tasty. Vegan burger was very nice! Extremely juicy. Fair drinks. Staff were nice.

Sunday afternoon dinner, arrived on time but table not ready, place half empty…. Sent to bar but no one here…. Shown table food good service quick and staff relatively tentative. Always hard though when your mains arrive whilst still eating the starter, then No cutlery as was cleared with the starter.

Great place to hold a party. Food is tasty and fresh. Staff are extremely pleasant especially if it’s your birthday they all gather round and sing a song. Can be a bit pricey. But this isn’t a McD’s your buying Cheers DR
