6 of us went last night one couple had never been. They were amazed we had such a great restaurant in rugby. From entering the restaurant going to the cocktail bar everyone was attentive, smiley faces welcoming. Food amazing. Atmosphere excellent. Cannot say enough about our evening there, Thank you for starting our Christmas off.

What should have been a fantastic meal was spoilt by a few elements. -The decor isn't very in keeping with the supposed French "vibe". I'd say more of Mediterranean or Turkish restaurant. - The server was constantly pacing back and forth, clicking his pen and interrupting our conversation. - Starters of French Onion Soup (which was not French Onion soup, it was chicken stock/broth with onion) and Burrata with Heritage/Heirloom tomatoes (it was Mozzarella with cherry tomatoes) left a lot of be desired. - Mains of Duck with Dauphinois potatoes and Vegetables and Braised Ox-cheek with Mashed potatoes and vegetables. The duck was the highlight though needed to be cooked initially hotter to crisp the skin up a bit more. The vegetables were done well but the Dauphinois was too salty and dry. The Ox cheek was just awful. I think must have been cooked from frozen. The wine was excellent despite out initial selection not being available. The overall bill considering the amount of quality of the food was horrendous. Would not recommend.

Lovely restaurant! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the duck parfait to start which was absolutely delicious, followed by the pork belly—perfectly cooked with crispy crackling on the side. There were lots of yummy vegetables too. Overall, I definitely recommend!

Fantastic evening at the re-launch of this lovely restaurant. New winter menu with great favourites still on the menu especially the Moules Frites and of course excellent choice of steaks. Decent wine menu and even cocktails. Highly recommend.

We have eaten at CVC many times and always had a 5 star experience with them. Last month we chose to have our wedding with them and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The coordinators were there for me every step of the way, all the staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. The chefs are incredibly talented. The bar staff make beautiful drinks. Everyone just bent over backwards to make sure we had the most amazing, completely personalised day! Every single one of my guests said how impressed they were with the food (and some of them are hard to impress) Can’t thank them enough for such a special day. Highly recommend for meals out and events.

Went for drink and a chat with old friends, we had some wonderful cocktails in a charming upstairs room perfect ambiance. No food this time but it looked and smelled delicious.

One of the very best restaurants in Rugby. The staff are always polite and welcoming. The food is fantastic and there is even a wonderful cocktail bar (I think only open Fridays and Saturdays but could be wrong!) on the top floor. Already booked to go back next month.

Excellent meal, and exceptional service. We had scallops, and a smoked mackerel mousse for starters, followed by sirloin steak, and blackened rump, which was all superb. The restaurant is a relaxing and enjoyable place to be, and we has booked to sit on the first floor, which I would recommend - it’s actually a slightly larger space than the ground floor, and we never felt ‘forgotten about’. Staff were very efficient, and extremely knowledgeable about the new menu, having tried all the dishes, and were able to provide their recommendations. The steak was beautifully rare, so you needn’t worry about the chef overcooking anything. Nice range of wines, including a Petit-Chablis at £28 a bottle, though would have been nice to see more wines available by the glass. The pudding menu looked divine (our waiter said his favourite was the white chocolate & cranberry bread and butter pudding), but we were much too full for more! Bill came to £98 which was very reasonable, and I don’t think I’ve experienced such exceptional service like this in the area.
