   It was my first visit to Marina Fish Bar. Unfortunately I wasn't pleased with the quality of Fish and Chips. Large fish was small and made it look bigger with lot of thick and hard batter. Chips weren't that good either. I hate to give negative reviews in these difficult times for businesses but sometimes honest opinions are needed to improve the quality and service.

   I came here at lunchtime, I understand they was busy however the young lad behind the counter with a cap on I thought was very rude and came across as intimidating, he was very rude to the young lady who seemed like she was training, he was also very rude towards myself when he was taking my order and even when I asked for extra sauce and forks. UPDATED EDIT in response to owner reply: Hello, Thank you for your prompt response to the review I previously left. I understand that reputation is extremely important, especially in your line of work. However, I have to disagree with your response that my review was dishonest. The experience I described wasn’t just my personal opinion ,it was also agreed with by the two lads who were with me at the time, and even a few locals I spoke to afterwards expressed similar views. While I appreciate the pressures that come with being a business owner, I don’t believe that excuses a lack of basic customer service. I understand there was a situation where you were correcting a staff member, and while she may not have felt your tone was rude, I personally felt it was. That said, I know that’s ultimately a matter between staff and management. Let me explain in more detail what happened: I was sitting and waiting for my food to be prepared. When I noticed the staff member begin wrapping it, I asked if I could have burger sauce all over. You quickly responded, “It’s not for you.” A few minutes later, I clarified which sauce I wanted. If you recall, I wasn’t watching over you while you wrapped the food ,I was simply getting my cash out to pay, supporting your small business by avoiding a card transaction. Once the food was wrapped, I asked again to confirm if there was sauce on the chips. At that point, you sighed and seemed visibly irritated, saying, “Could have said that before I just wrapped this up.” To me, that response felt unnecessarily harsh. With a bit more attention to customer service, I believe the situation could have been handled far more smoothly. I didn’t leave my review to cause trouble, as you suggested I did so because I felt genuinely disappointed by the experience

   Got kebab meat in a tray and what an experience. Dry as anything and not even hot. I think this is the first cut from the kebab and it was disgusting I will be throwing in the bin!!! Never had an experience like it never going back there

   Haven’t been to the shop for awhile noticed it’s exchanged Hands, used to be to be good quality food , ordered a large haddock chips and curry sauce. The large haddock look like a mini fish when opened the packaging at home the fish batter had been burnt which went through the flavour of the fish very disappointing please see pictures avoid it all cost feel ripped off.

   Came here for a bit of extra lunch Was busy but I guess that’s because it just opened Got severed quickly. Staff were friendly and they even take card here Fresh cooked food which is what you want at a chippy Keep up the great work guys

   Please, just be patient and wait for your turn in the queue of visitors, this authentic English fish&chips bar is well worth for a visit and the time while your delicious fast food is freshly being prepared. Please also note that this bar is for take-away and not for on-site eating restaurant, therefore limited sitting places are available. Just take your time, stop by and enjoy your meal at home. Sure, it won't disappoint you. ;)
