Food was good, wouldn’t jump and down about it, I would recommend you try it, as not everyone has the same palate. Price is I guess where they are currently due energy price etc etc.
We went on a family dinner on a visit back to Steak & bake. Our server was Sufian who was amazing throughout the entire time. He was attentive, friendly and very polite. He gave us suggestions where required. Absolutely amazing service from him. The food was great and had a nice time.
We came here with reasonable expectations and we were still left quite disappointed. The food was satisfactory, but nothing really impressed us. The starters were pretty good, although they were lacking in any sort of "x factor", whether that was in the presentation or in the taste. The Chicken Nachos should have contained more Chicken, the Wings were a tad too sweet and the Garlic Bread was very generic, topped with some Cheese and Jalapeños. The mains were also a let down. The Fish Burger was not what we expected. It consisted of a Masala Fish in a Bun, with some Cheese. The combination wasn't very appetising. They should have stuck to the traditional Fried Fish. The Ribeye Steak was meant to be medium rare, however, the majority of it was still very chewy. It definitely paled in comparison to the Steaks we've had in Manchester. To put the final nail in the coffin, the consistency of the peppercorn sauce was also shocking. It was very watery and it didn't have the signature pepper kick. The two mocktails were lovely as was the decor and the Service. We wouldn't go out of our way to re-visit, but it's decently priced for what you get.
Surprised by some negative reviews. Today (a Sunday evening) was my first time here. I went along with two mates from out-of-town and had an excellent experience. Service was prompt and polite. We arrived at 5pm and there was plenty of seating available, although it soon began filling up so later arrivals would've had a wait. I ordered the Ribeye steak sizzler served with steamed veg, mashed potato, steak cut chips, spicy rice, and peppercorn sauce. Food was prepared quickly and it was the most tender, succulent steak I've had. Safe to say the plates on our table emptied rapidly ! Atmosphere was pleasant and unrushed. No earthquake inducing loud music making normal conversation impossible like some places. Only downside is it's cash only but that's Bradford for you. Prices are fair. Our table including drinks came out to roughly £23.58 per head. The restaurant car park is tight and usually rammed but there's more space in the unpaved car park opposite. I paid £1.20 via a website for 2hrs. The main entrance is around the front of the building (opposite the old ice rink) at the top of a small set of stairs, although I think there's a side entrance too ? Overall, strongly recommend. Would return.
I’m very picky with steak, but this place absolutely blew me away. I tried the chicken steak, sizzler, stir fry, and lamb chop sizzler — every single dish was flawless. The mash was soft and buttery, the vegetables cooked perfectly, the chicken tender (not the usual rubbery texture you often get with chicken steak), and the chips were fresh and crisp. The lamb chops were especially delicious — succulent, well-seasoned, and not overly spiced. Honestly, I couldn’t fault a single thing. Everything on the plate was perfect. Highly recommended!
A nice steak place, got the sirloin and ribeye Sizzlers but unfortunately they were only available in medium-well which meant the sirloin was a little dry. It was Saturday so it was packed, waited a good 45 mins for food to come. Tasted nice enough but I think I prefer Toros still. Service from the staff was nice and helpful. There is parking available and plenty seating, we didn't book beforehand so had a 30 min wait before being seated. They have a good selection of deserts and pleased to say their cheesecake is a proper cheesecake, not the cheap stuff most desert places in Bradford serve. CASH ONLY so loses a point 7/10.
I can honestly say I can't reccomend this place.. at all. There is a big sign that says parking to the rear. They don't own it or subsidise it, they must get a commission from the penalties you get when you get out of the restaurant late. We came as 2 families having a catch up. The staff where difficult to get hold of to order, then the food tool over 1 hour and 15 mins to arrive for some very standard food - there is literally nothing special about it on comparison to the 50 other places that sell the same type of food. When you give negative feedback the staff / manager just can't be bothered to listen and makes excuses for their dismal service. Would I go back.. silly question!!!
Had a wonderful evening dining here. Food was spot on but what stood out was the exceptional customer service. The young lady that tended to us, Arij, was a breath of fresh air! Interacted with us and came across as jovial yet polite. Overall very good experience.
5 star service and 5 star food. We were a large mixed group of old and young but we all throughly l enjoyed it. Definitely returning Insha'Allah. Alhamdulillah.
Excellent food and excellent service from the manager and waiters. We had one or two requests regarding allergens which the team took care of immediately. Good atmosphere all round. Will be back again
