Good food at reasonable prices. Today we enjoyed the Sunday dinner sharing board which only cost £38 including two drinks. The food was great, the staff were great and it was a nice Christmasy cosy setting.
Purchased a Groupon voucher for any pizza or pasta for £6. What a bargain! Great tasty food, good portion sizes. Worth a visit!
Lovely room, staff were excellent, sharing platter came on a board as a lovely gimmick, and looked great, the taste was nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Would recommend booking as it was busy so I do not know how if you could get food as a walk in, it was sunday after all.
Just had Sunday lunch and it was delicious! Great value, food was served hot and plentiful. Staff are so friendly and helpful! Would recommend coming here for either the tapas, Sunday lunch or their Italian night!
It's a well spaced bar with a great beer garden. Food is top notch, there are trees. I like trees. Oh back to food, I had chips, they were delicious! I had onion rings, they were huge and tasty. I also had a margarita pizza, which was perfect. Don't judge! Lol
I enjoy going to the George more when it's quieter mid week. Staff are able to give more time and attention to the food, drinks and serving which is great. Ordered a pizza and even though they just switched the ovens off staff accommodated and put them on again to serve us food which a lot of establishments don't always do now. They had a great deal on cocktails so a few of them went down a treat
Booked in for the NYE menu. Food is generally good when we eat here, tonight it was exceptional! Creamy garlic mushrooms for starters, the sauce is so rich and just enough garlic to not be over powering. Main course was braised beef cheek on a bed of creamy mash potatoes with sweet carrots on the side. The meat just fell apart and melted on the tongue. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding - a huge portion! Fantastic value for money at only £30.00
Opted for Sunday lunch and it certainly didn't disappoint. Lovely food and such big portions. Will definitely visit again
I would highly recommend the George's Bistro & Bar, The atmosphere is 5☆ The service is 5☆ The food is 5☆ The beverage is 5☆ And to top it off the decor is relaxing and classy, My honest opinion is, this place is a true diamond in the rough, Definitely true quality at a reasonable price,
Brilliant food. Second visit. We had tapas, mocktails and desserts. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented too. Thoroughly recommended.
