Went here yesterday 18th dec for some hot drinks before panto at the priory theatre. 5 adults 2 teens and a 6 year old. The man serving us (didn’t catch his name) couldn’t be more accommodating, very friendly and helpful and enthusiastic he took our order, made suggestions on drinks including which size would be best for the little one and then found us a lovely table, the waitress (also didn’t catch her name) young girl was lovely, the vibe felt very welcoming and the hot drinks were really cheap and the hot chocolates had cream and marshmallows which were offered I didn’t have to ask like in most places. Will deffo be back hopefully for food next time

Awesome. Really loved it. Tuesday night is quiz night which is really popular. Food was really good and was excellently cooked. I am definitely planning a return trip. I know the current owners took over only a few months ago so only the more recent reviews are representative of the current establishment. Would strongly recommend.

4-Star Review: I had a wonderful evening at this charming old pub! The atmosphere was absolutely lovely, with a warm and cozy feel that made it the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner. It's also dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. The food was delicious and well worth the short wait. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The service was excellent too—friendly, attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Hosted my sister's baby shower here last week, we had a private room, it was perfect, the decor is really nice! All staff were polite & friendly, they couldn't have done more for us. They provided a buffet (£12.50 pp) and it was delicious, lots of different choices, they catered for dietary requirements with no issues. I would highly recommend here for a private event or even just a meal & drink, you won't be disappointed!

Best place I came to on my trip to Coventry, took a drive down to this very old pub and I was greeted with the most warm welcome ever. We were served by a lovely lady called Gwen, ever so hospitable and warm. The highlight of the day was the absolutely delicious food, we had the rump steak and a seafood platter, everything was delicious! I look forward to coming here again.

Enjoyable meal in a nice and friendly place. Marked down as took half an hour for my food to come (after I prompted) and it was pricey

Had a batch of sandwiches for lunch plus a half pint of Sunchaser which was very refreshing. Staff very friendly, especially the lad behind the bar serving us the drinks! Visited after looking around Kenilworth Castle. Highly recommend the pub. It's very spacious inside

Excellent pub, very interesting variety of different rooms and areas to sit or mingle. Great beers and cocktail menu. Wish I'd eaten there, the food looked and smelled amazing. Added a photo of 1 of the smaller rooms, was bright and cool in the summer with an open window looking out onto the street. I bet it's cozy in the winter too.

My colleague hosted his birthday party in this pub. It’s located in a beautiful area. Food was toothsome and delicious.
