We ordered for the first time to the forest of arden hotel and it came piping hot and very quick. The food and flavour was and is amazing and great value for money. I'll definitely be ordering from here again. Thanks to everyone at meriden spice and compliments to the cheif. Very nice food thankyou.

Lovely food, great service and really well priced! I found this place on Google, on the website it said "award winning" and not being from the area we decided to give it a go. Plus, It was only 30 seconds from the hotel we were staying at (the Manor Hotel) which was a touch!! Food was lovely, big portions! The bread was light and fresh, the rice was fluffy, the curries we had were full of flavour and weren't runny at all!! The saag aloo could have been a bit creamier but was perfectly cooked and the spinach had a nice kick of spice to it - worked perfectly with the tikka mascara sauce! If ever we come back to Coventry, we'll definitely be back!! I only gave the atmosphere a 4 because the light above us kept dimming and brightening... for a few moments we were in darkness and then we could see each other! Didn't take away from the overall meal and experience!!

Elvis and the team are great. Venue is cosy without feeling cramped, clean and service is great. Polite and friendly staff, attentive even when busy. Take their recommendations if you don't know what to have. Prices are fair and food is delicious. Drinks are serviced by the pub downstairs, so well stocked and great if you get to your booking a little early. Tandoori Combo Grill was phenomenal.

What a wonderful little surprise this venue is. The host was very welcoming, not surprising, for such an unusual location, it is in the rooms above the pub. Make your way around the side to the back and enter into a bustling experience. Tables were efficiently moved to accommodate the two of us, and the knowledgeable waiters buzzed about taking their time to prepare orders and explain the menu. Apparently, it is the locals' best kept secret, and there was chatting and laughter, making it a relaxed evening. Because the pub is only downstairs, I would suggest having a quick drink, but you are able to get served at the table from the bar. The food introduced itself long before we sat down through the inviting fragrances, and patrons made their suggestions as we perused the full list of dishes. I'm afraid to say I played it safe and had my usual prawn puree and merga masala. After our freshly cooked poppadoms, the food was served quickly and presented amazingly. From what i saw the other patrons being served, I will definitely explore the range of dishes more next time. The portions were such that if you do decide to go here, I would suggest you skip lunch. Even though it's a small venue, you weren't rushed, so much so that the proprietor introduced himself and was genuinely interested in your experience. One tip make sure you book a table early. The cost was inline local curry restaurants. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it.

My husband & I thought we would treat ourselves to an Indian takeaway whilst staying at Somers Wood in Meriden. Meriden Spice had been recommended. I ordered over the phone and spoke with a very friendly man. Ordered our food and was told 1hr 10mins for delivery. Food arrived on time and as promised at the gate. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was warm, and very flavoursome. The lamb pathia was stunning and the meat was lovely and tender, and the butter chicken was also very nice. Would most definitely recommend. Will certainly be eating from here again. Thank-you

Our go to takeaway if we're looking for an Indian. We've been using them for years and enjoy it every time. Order on their own website rather than one of the apps for a good discount.

Ordered at 6pm expecting for around d 8pm the latest tonight, albeit it was New Yearβs Eve I have never ever waited over three hours for a delivery. Was disgusted as told it was on its way, another hours on, still no appearance. It eventually arrived well over the 3 hours. The food arrived cold, naan bread soggy and the onion chutney was a bag of onions only. The restaurant simply said sorry we are busy and I insisted on a refund but who knows what will happen. Having used regularly previously I wonβt be using again so so disappointed.

An awful indian food i ever had in my life. Raw okra, uncooked Naan bread and tasteless paneer gravy with handful of mozzarella cheese on it which they called Paneer Makhni. Nowhere match the definition of Indian food.

Great food and friendly staff. Tried the peshwari naan and was delicious, so will definitely order that again. Fish curry was prepared perfectly, with the right amount of spice, topped with fresh coriander and served piping hot.
