Lived in coundon for 10+ years, ate from here a hand full of times. Got worse every time. To the point I felt robbed the last time I ate there. Over priced for the poor quality food. Got orders wrong, very rude and ignorant. Not worth a look anymore, definitely swerve this place.
Absolutely beautiful meal this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Staff were most welcoming and the service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, my wife particularly enjoyed the Chicken Shatkora. Thank you for a lovely evening
This was the best Chicken Tikka Masala I've had since I moved to Coventry. Even my girlfriend, who didn't normally like curry, enjoyed it. Super fast delivery, and they brought it to the door, not just sat in the car. Will definitely go back here
Coundon Indian Cuisine has a very friendly and welcoming team. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I had the Chef's Special Bhuna, which was a perfect balance of flavours and spice. The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained. The bar serves all the standard things you'd expect. For my anxiety bros the toilets are right at the back, on the right of the kitchen. Highly recommended and I'll be returning next time I'm in Coventry.
Great food, quick and professional service, value for money and very tasty
My partner has used this restaurant for 20 + years and has always spoken highly of this establishment. As we no longer live near we made the special trip to enjoy his favourite curry house, only to be left hugely disappointed. We both thought the food was bland, but the service was ok. However, we were sat at the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and we witnessed a waiter on multiple occasions reuse the same popadom condiments - the waiter reused the same spoons, bowls and even condiments just topping them up with fresh before re-serving them. Before topping them up the waiter would scoop out previous contaminates from each compartment and wipe the bowl from any drips. All of this was carried out on the restaurant floor in front of the tables not behind closed door. We questioned the waiter and he became sheepish. We did bring this to the manger’s attention who didn’t seem interested, we won’t be returning.
Very disappointed with our meal, I only had 3 pieces of chicken in my curry which had a strange texture e.g processed and rubbery. The rest of the order was greasy and not of good quality. Such a shame as we previously used this restaurant a lot over the years and have never had any problems.
Ok what's happened to the place years since I last went ..Have you booked he asked. The place was empty.1600 hours .tried to seat me right next to door .no thanks I said .Pushed a menu in front of us can i have a little time I said .The seats and tables are so close together it would be hard to have a quiet conversation too many table squeezed together looks like a canteen ..On to the currys was average the lamb felt like dried beef..Ate it because I was hungry Ask for bill not value for money..The Restaurant still had 60 approx empty..when we left ..Wonder why ..
The Coundon District nurses favorite and their loyal. Been coming here since 2008. Fresh Naan every time.
