Gone downhill. Food was not the same. Prices have gone up. Hygiene is a big issue. Mold everywhere. Put me off the food and the place.
My first visit to Lanika in Halifax, West Yorkshire—after living here for seven years—was truly a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional: well-cooked, flavourful, and perfectly balanced without being overly spicy. Both the staff and the owner were incredibly polite and respectful to all their customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for the excellent service.
Absolutely fantastic place in Halifax! The quality of the food, all prepared by family is amazing. The atmosphere is always great, staff are always friendly and provide excellent service. Would definitely recommend visiting!
Limited options all together theres only 13 dishes. No dessert variety and no vanilla ice cream. There was hair in the ice cream that was served to us. Service was delayed as well took 20 minutes for them to give a soft drink as they had just forgotten about us. Ive added a picture of all the starters they had but they also had lamb chops.
Just been here tonight family of 4. The food was lovely and tasty aswell. A vast selection and desserts were nice also. Overall a nice evening and staff are always on hand. PS. the mango & coconut ice cream was spot on !! ** 4/5
I just couldn't recommend Lanika. The staff no care in the world all lingering around the entrance , hands in pockets. When asked for Bill required a paper copy but didn't give anything to us. He added everything up on a calculator. Not professional and seems off the books. No organisation at all. The food wasn't the best , curries very oily. Not the best quality. Just wasn't impressed at all. Had to ask for things for the table poppadoms etc, no staff checking of we are all OK. Very poor. £19.99 for a Buffett during the week quite expensive. The quality of the food I would expect about £14/15 MAX. No labels on Ice cream counter it was like a god damn pick ot mix. No one seemed bothered at all. I wouldn't come back here. 1*.
Called here again after a little while, the food was absolutely amazing as always. Service incredible my guy with the white beard :-),was as attentive as he always is. If I could rate more than 5 stars this would be 100 out of 100. See you guys next time .
Really nice interior and friendly place where you can relax and eat. Seats were comfy too. The food on the other hand was only mediocre because the lamb chops were hard and the rise was dry. Also the variety on offer wasn't impressive at all. Worse still we were charged almost 10 pounds for litre bottle of water. That's a rip-off. I won't be going back ever.
Welcome to Halifax. This is a buffet restaurant which serves South Asian cuisine. The athmosphere is amazing and the foods are delicious. I love their lamb chop and lamb curry. They also provide a car park inside the bussiness site. Don't forget to try the ice cream. I would recommend this place as family restaurant. Cheers.
Amazing, fresh, tasty food if a great variety. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and such a good price for the quality of the food. Best Indian I’ve had in a long time and the fact it’s a buffet place makes it even better. Even have chips and nuggets for the fussier little ones. Our go to birthday meal/special occasion place now!
