Got a worn out food and it taste expired. This is the second time and it’s not advisable for peoples health.
During my recent trip to Cardiff, I had the pleasure of dining at Karibu African Restaurant, and it was a culinary journey like no other. The restaurant boasts an array of delicious, mouthwatering, and tantalizing African dishes that left me craving for more. I savoured their egusi soup and pounded yam, which were simply divine, and the pepper soup paired perfectly with chilled drinks. The ambience was enhanced by the vibrant African musical interlude, creating an authentic and enjoyable dining experience. Karibu is a haven for Naija-made food, bringing a true taste of home with every bite. What surprised me the most was the affordability of such high-quality meals. The service was impeccable, with friendly staff who made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. Thumbs up to Karibu for making my stay in Cardiff feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking to experience the rich flavours of African cuisine in Cardiff.
It felt like home. I visited with a friend last summer (we are both Nigerian). The aroma, people and music were all so lively. The staff were so friendly and engaging. It felt like we’d known each other, just like it is at home. Not to mention, the foods were so tasty and affordable. We had to take some back home with us! The only issue is that it can be a little hard to find as there was no sign board. I returned in November with other friends, but locating it was hard, and when we called the number provided here, we found out it was closed, opening/closing isn’t updated on here. I hope to return when next I’m in Cardiff.

I had half a chicken and chips and couldn't fault it. Was very tasty range of flavours and efficient service. Atmosphere seems nice. Shame it wasn't busier it should be.

Wahoo what a nice place and good food, warm welcome and authentic Nigerian food and rural presentation made me feel I am in a local buka, buy very clean and modern twist .... this is what you need after few hours drive from London....... Well done guys I will definitely call again when in Cardiff, thank you.
I will be honest with you, it wasn't straightforward to find. It is advertised as a cafe and late did we noticed the name Karibu written on the lower side of the door. We made our way into a cosy, very friendly atmosphere and omg, so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious, an explosion of flavours that you just can't get enough of. Excellent service, generous portions and really, really nice food cooked with love, joy and soul. Thank you so much for the friendliness and the amazing food experience. Highly recommend this place :)
