Absolutely stunning place. Nice atmosphere. Lovely, friendly staff. Great service. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were big. Very reasonable prices for a fine dining restaurant. Definitely will be coming back here. Hard to find an Italian restaurant like this even in Italy.

Beautiful atmosphere especially the rear with the glass panels felt lovely to sit in while it was raining.. staff were very friendly and chatty! My ravioli was okay unfortunately the salmon filling was on the dry side and lacked flavour :/ my partners prawn pasta was lovely though!

What am amazing pleasant experience dining here was last night, the staff were so friendly, service was so good and the food was amazing. I went for the specials, an amazing burrata, pesto and cherry tomato dish for starters which is so so good. For main the special was a fish ravioli, the ravioli was made from black ink pasta and (normal) pasta so it was white on one side and black on the other, it was filled with sea bass and prawns and the fish sauce was amazing. Such a delicate dish. It's nice to dine somewhere where you get such good food and service and still get get a decent bottle of wine for under £23. (The expensive pallet was also catered for with an extensive wine list available). Thanks for making us feel so welcome, and a lovely evening.

We reserved a table for our special day with my family. We found free street parking easily, but it might be trickier sometimes. I'm sure there is always something within walking distance, though. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, it's elegant and one can feel like treating themselves by visiting but it's also warm, cozy and welcoming so it's easy to feel relaxed. The waiter at the reception was very friendly, and led us to our table. We booked our table early, as we had a child with us and on this occasion the restaurant wasn't fully booked, so the waiter allowed us to pick a table in the orangery, it was great to see this much flexibility. The booth we picked had very comfortable seating and it was close to the kitchen window, so we could hear the hustle and bustle of the busy kitchen and it was great to hear Italian being spoken among the staff all the time. Needless to say the food was amazing! From the starters through the main course to the dessert! Everything was authentic, fresh and hot and the portions were absolutely big! The waiters were very friendly, attentive and they effectively managed the whole floor every, all the other tables seemed happy. The waiters engaged with my 5 year old daughter which was great to see and enabled her to come out of her shell and order dessert for herself. This family friendly attitude really impressed us. I'm really happy to have found this place and we'll be sure to come back. Thank you!

Me and my partner came here for our 4th Anniversary. On arrival, we were welcomed in to a very cosy seating area, with good vibes and a great atmosphere. The staff are amazing, and go above and beyond to cater to your needs. We were offered a glass of water to start, which was very kind, and the food we ordered came out fast, and tasted incredible. Everything was fresh, sauce was thick, and the cheesy garlic bread was the best I've ever tasted, and I've had a lot of it! The desserts were delightful and beautifully presented, my only complaint would be that the special of the day tasted so good that it needs a permanent spot on the dessert menu! Thank you so much for an unforgettable night at Elgano, it really made our anniversary special. Compliments to the chef!

What a find! An independent Italian that serves freshly made quality food. The flavours were on point and the dishes were well executed. Nice to see euthentic Italian dishes on the Menu too. Service was to the same high standard as the food and floor staff were really friendly. Decor, again, is to a supurb modern quality within the dining area and everywhere else. Honestly cannot recommend enough if you like Italian food or would like try real Italian cuisine.

I had the fungi risotto which was tasty, my friends had pizza & pasta which they said was great. The staff were friendly. For such a busy place there is only 1 toilet in an awkward position so at one point 4 girls were queuing at the bottom of the stairs where waiters bring food through. It was very loud on the top floor as all the tables were full, felt as though they needed a window open to spread the sound. Downfall was their measures are not accurate. We ordered Gin & mixers and couldn’t taste the gin, so we all got an extra shot to put in our drink and he brought them to our table, no wonder we couldn’t taste them as it was a little more than a thimble full. Think they need to address this especially at £3.50 or so for the gin.
