⭐️Sunday Lunch⭐️ My second visit to alium on a Sunday and both visits left me very satisfied. I had the squid to start and I could have demolished two plates, light tempura batter with salt and chilli coating was gorgeous. Feather Blade of Beef for my main, care and attention has gone into every element on the plate, one bite into a simple carrot and you never realised a carrot could be so tasty, the blade of beef is tender and the flavour is delicious. The balance of food on the plate is considered and leaves you feeling satisfied and for the price point you feel the quality of the meal justifies any alternative Sunday lunch. We paired our lunch with their house wines, their pinot was a little too acidity for me but the sauvignon blanc made up for this and was easier to drink and relax. Tempted by desert simply put Strawberries on there menu too a simple ingredient and elevated with vanilla bean cream and the a sweet drizzle of sauce but the strawberries flavour made it luxurious, whilst leaving me wanting more it was the perfect end to the meal By far my favourite Sunday lunch locally and a must try, we’ve heard great things about dinner menus and we are keen to try.

fantastic meal and excellent service plus nice wine list and amazing sticky toffee pudding. The supper club on Wednesdays and Thursday’s is very good value

The place is great, will come again for sure, reasonable prices, Amber, Richard and the team, genuine friendly service and smile, good amount of food on the plate, the beef falls apart, and well balanced. Simply cant praise it enough.

Positives - staff were friendly, enjoyed the décor and for the most part the food was good. Lost a star for not being able to offer coffee with dessert and for the long waits we experienced during service. My garlic bread also tasted like it was cooked in a smokey oven than needs cleaning, but that could also have been my imagination.

The place is a rare gem. The food was amazing and they also have a great wine selection too. My only recommendation is that they should serve sourdough bread with king prawns to soak up the king prawns because that butter sauce the prawns were cooked was amazing. The waiting staff are also very friendly and helpful…:)

Best Sunday lunch I’ve had in Cardiff for a long time! Really lovely decor and attentive waitresses. Had the mozzarella starter and nut roast main, both cooked and presented really well! Look forward to return and try the rest of the menu!

Had an enjoyable meal here last night, we were a large group and both the service and food was very good. The vegetarian options weren’t particularly exciting for the price, I had the Mozerella salad followed by the Orzo both needed more seasoning. Great new addition to Barry dining scene though.
