   OMG this place was amazing! A true family fun business with super friendly staff and amazing food. It was lovely to have fish and chips without feeling bagged immediately after, or having the taste of grease the following morning. I attended as part of a work social and everyone (20 people) were raving about just how good the food was. A must visit when in Barry Island!

   We arrived without a booking and were lucky to be offered a table for an early dinner. The service and atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The food we chose was delicious and beautifully served. The children's menu was perfect for our grandchildren. The expresso martini a super way to belatedly celebrate our daughter's 40th! A super treat all round. We would definitely recommend!

   Great seaside restaurant with super fresh seafood! Every dish was tasty, especially the seafood pasta and grilled fish. No oysters that day as the owner only serves them when they’re top quality – very professional. Clean place, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and pet-friendly too. Highly recommended!

   We had an amazing time at Mr Villa’s, the staff were extremely on top of everything and obliging to our every need. The food was exquisite and I would highly recommend the crusted cod to both seafood and non seafood eaters as it is amazing. We travelled a long way from Australia to enjoy the Uk seafood here and were not disappointed. Definite 5 stars.

   My partner and I are staying in Barry for the weekend and we found this place through trip advisor. One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a very long time, lovely looking village restaurant with perfectly cooked fresh sea food of extremely high quality. 10/10 on all dishes I had and some of the best chips of my life. Staff were wonderful too and accommodated us 45 minutes before we were meant to arrive. Can’t recommend enough!

   Ones again thank you for the wonderful experience last night; I am eating in this place since 2017 and I always have a wonderful food experience. All food is freshly prepared and straight delivered to your table. Food is prepared in simple and delicious way- hot and fresh. Atmosphere is so nice and relaxing. I would describe the place as “ simply wonderful “ another 5 star from me

   First visit today and absolutely loved it. Cockles and Laverbread were delicious. The battered Hake with mushy peas and chips was superb. Perfectly thin crispy batter on the fish! Loved the homemade tartare sauce. Desserts also delicious Highly recommended

   We just ate there, an older man apparently the owner chased my wife into the toilet area waited for her to come out to ask her why she came in a rude way! We were waiting outside to be sat in our table. When we came in I asked him to come and have a word, he apologised in a dry manner. We only ate there because we had no other option as my wife was terribly hungry as she is breastfeeding and we had our 6 month old baby with us. The food wasn't bad but not great for the price and small portions, they even wanted to charge me for a sparkling water they did not have!, if you want to spend ~£50 on two mains and one starter then go, its not a Michelin restaurant if that's what he thinks. Be mindful the apparent owner will be looking over your shoulder, I would avoid this place, we are farely local will never go back or recommend it to anyone! Picture is actually of the baked cod and was a mistake when I opened the camera, not that I would snap their food.
