   Sunday evening tea time, and was despatched to get a curry. Hadn't been to the Modern for a good few years, so to have the service, cost and amazing food meet all our expectations was great, and fast too. They also chucked in a couple of extra poppadoms, which is always a winner in my book. 5 star service, 5 star food. Only left 4 star on the atmosphere, as obviously it's only a takeaway and not a restaurant, so unless you take your own lights and sound system with you, the atmosphere is a takeaway

   Terrible service. Ordered the food at 6.50, the food didn’t arrive within an hour and a half so I rang and they said it was “out for delivery soon”, after another 20 minutes of waiting I rang again at 8.40, the operator said there was a mess up with another delivery resulting in the order being deleted. I was offered 50% off which is a absolute scam, should be free for the time wasted. Don’t know how often this may happen as I doubt this is a one off glitch.

   Very disappointed after my first experience of Modern Balti in Barry. On Thursday 20th October - First they lost my order which was placed online, which meant I waited 45 minutes for my food. When I arrived home with the order, it was very poor quality. The onion bhajees were hard and quite tasteless and the curry sauce was very thin and nowhere near to madras strength.

   2nd time we have ordered from here and 2nd time we have waited forever for delivery. Had to phone to ask where order was after 1hr 30 min wait and they were quite rude. When food arrived was very disappointed with vegetable balti as described "exotic veg" only to find it was basically carrot/peas/potato/corn and green beans....not very "exotic" mix!!

   Over an hour and a half late. First follow up call, told it was with driver, 20 minutes later...Still with the driver. Chicken was tough as old boots. Bajees were not good and super greesey. Chips were stone cold. Won't ever order again from here.

   What is the point of having time selections if they are not followed. Requested our food to be delivered at 8:15 as family members were in work & wanted food hot for when they come home. Delivery turned up a hour early & was refused to be taken back! Very poor timing
