   First time walking into a Nigerian restaurant. I really wanted to try authentic Nigerian flavours on top was thrilled to know they use halaal meat. I was nervous to try the food…so asked the person serving me what would he recommend…He said Egusi Assorted… OMG! As promised he said it’s full of flavour and boy was he right! Portion size was generous. Friendly & very relaxed atmosphere. Will deffo return again to try something else… thank you for a lovely experience! :-)

   I would say Afro Lounge was actually better than I thought it would be. The food didn’t take long to be made, and to my surprise, the Egusi Soup was really delicious and tested really authentic. The pounded yam was good and well made. The atmosphere was comfy, chill, and relaxed. With lots of menu options, I also tried the white soup; it was decent and tasted more like pepper soup. Great service. Decent price. Delicious food. I recommend.

   **Afro Lounge** Afro Lounge is a hidden gem that I had the pleasure of visiting during my first time in Cardiff, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! I ordered the poundo and egusi, and it was nothing short of a 10/10. The food was so delicious that it completely won me over—I started eating with a spoon, trying to keep it posh, but eventually gave in and used my hands, which made the experience even more authentic and satisfying. The atmosphere of the restaurant was absolutely lovely. It had a welcoming and vibrant vibe that made me feel at home, even though I was miles away from it. The staff were attentive, and the service was excellent, which added to the overall great experience. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is the toilet facilities, as they could use some attention to match the exceptional standards of the food and ambience. Overall, Afro Lounge is a fantastic spot to enjoy authentic Nigerian cuisine, and I’m truly impressed. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Cardiff again. Highly recommended!

   This place was giving... Everything hit all the right spots. We had poundo and efo riro. Poundo was just the perfect amount of soft. The efo riro and assorted banged. Customer service on point. Will definitely be coming back
