   Extremely disappointed with this order. The fish was so bad it was far from edible. It was supposed to have been hake, which I usually love, but this was definitely not hake — I don’t even know what type of fish it was. The batter was thick, heavy and indigestable! and the cod we also ordered tasted horrible. Very unappealing. For the high price charged, I expected much better quality. Instead, the entire order went straight into the bin. Very, very poor and I won’t be ordering again.

   Had a large cod and most of it went in the bin. The staff seem very nice but the food is another thing. The cod was awful and I went there on recommendation that its was fab. The batter was like trying to chew through shoe leather and the fish inside was as dry as a bone, and one can only assume it had been left in the range a long time, such a shame because its 8 quid just for the fish and there was more batter than fish and was disgusting!

   Love this food place! Great prices! Some of the staff are brilliant and go out of their way to be nice to customers. No bad staff, I just dont know them all Only things I would change is for them to have a larger place and seats and tables for us customers to be able to sit in and spend more time there ♥️

   Ordered a large cod and chips via Uber. Fish was inedible; initially it seemed just bland and poor textured but in my opinion as a chef, this fish had been sat around too long in a warm kitchen. One area of the fillet tasted so unpleasant I spat it out and gave up eating, not wanting to risk being ill. Chips were poorly fried and mushy.

   This is probably the best fish and chips shop in Penarth, maybe even Cardiff. Nice people although some still learning on the job a few times I've been and as it's so popular the queue can be unpredictable. Amazing food though, everything is 5 stars on the menu.

   Our first night in Cardiff and needed to find a fish and chip shop that had gluten free options. All the other recommended shops were closed as it was a Sunday but found Plassey fish bar with delivery via Deliveroo and we were not disappointed. The food was clearly marked as gluten free to not mix up with others who had ordered. Batter was crispy, curry was awesome and chips were great. Huge portions.
