   Island Grill Barry: When 'Greek' Turns to 'Grief' Look, I've been a regular since the doors opened, and like the M4 on a Bank Holiday, the quality here is a total roll of the dice. Sometimes it’s fantastic, but my last order? Honestly, it was a joke that wasn't even funny. I ordered the Chicken Shish, and when it arrived, it was so dry it could have been registered as a fire hazard. It was like trying to chew on Barry Island's pebble beach, just cardboard texture and needed a pint to force it down the gullet—disgraceful. The nan bread was thicker than a brickie's thumb and floury, and the chips were colder than a swim in the Bristol Channel in January. Even the sauce, which is normally mint (though served in portions smaller than a daffodil), couldn't rescue the debacle. Now, here's the kicker, the price. I don't mind shelling out for quality, for a bit of authentic Greek gear, but what I got was a shameful rip-off. To pay a premium for that dried-up chicken on a Tuesday (the day after they're shut—coincidence?) and then have the delivery turn up late? Come on now! If you're charging those prices, get more drivers on the go during peak times. Don't be tight! The Verdict: Potential customers, be warned. This place is a lucky dip. It might be beautiful, or you might end up needing dental work. Owner, get your training sorted; keep your 'A-Team' on the grill, or you'll be giving out more dry tears than dry chicken! Sort it out, butty.

   Ordered from Island Grill and my partners food was dry and overcooked. Made a complaint and they said they would refund. Upon refunding they wanted the food back???? A rude person then said I'd eaten the food and that id have to go somewhere else in future. Well no loss there I will never order from this establishment again and would strongly recommend others give this a miss too.

   I was a kebab virgin, The workers were bloody amazing, they made a fresh nan in font of us. And filled it with lovely chicken and beautiful salad. The shop was so clean and every thing is on display for you to see I couldn’t recommend it more highly!!!! So friendly and happy, made us feel at home. Come down and try one …… you won’t regret it, amazing value for money. It’s a “yes” from me!!!!!

   Huge portion which is great but the taste of the meat has curry taste instead of the proper turkish kebab taste. Also bad point that they don’t separate the french fries from the meat/salad mixture. Still okay to try once.

   After several bad kebab house experiences in Barry I was told to try Island Grill as it is 'The Best'...They lied!! Terribly dry meat, too much packaging, why a naan bread and not a pitta? That's not a kebab and the meat was cooked to death!! Thankfully I had a pint of water to hand to help me swallow. Terrible!!

   Have been ordering from Island grill for a few years but unfortunately lately it has gone down hill, the past 3 times we have ordered we have not received all of what we ordered. Always missing the drink chips and naan bread. Will not be going back
