Do not eat here!!! ordered a take away and got home to a piece of RAW chicken in my curry!! took it back as they asked and refused refund and phoned police, refused to give my phone back and got shouted at multiple times with aggression and swearing constantly. POOR AND WOULD NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. They should’ve stayed shut

It’s been over twelve years since I was last at this restaurant. So on a wet miserable Sunday evening my friend and I thought it was high time for a visit. The restaurant has changed since my last visit. It’s still circular, spacious and well lit. Staff are very welcoming, polite, courteous and professional. We take a seat in the sunken area of the restaurant away from other diners. We order two large Cobra’s, four popadoms, a chicken reshmi, onion bhagee and a keema naan for starters. For the main meal, hot captain pathila. This is tender strips of lamb, prepared using fresh herbs, spices including coriander, mint, garlic and yogurt in a rich tangy sauce. Also chicken shashlick. This was charcoal grilled chicken with roasted onions, green peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and a curry sauce. Pilau and coconut rice were also ordered. The entire meal was flawless. Adequate time to enjoy the starters before the main meals were served. Impeccable service from start to finish. The meals were tasty, plentiful and thoroughly enjoyed. The ambiance was perfect. It’s no wonder that people travel many miles to eat here. It’s exquisite Bangladeshi food and I won’t be leaving it so long before I return. We tipped generously to show our appreciation. Highly recommended.

I came here years ago, and recently heard that it's still good, so, when I was unable to eat at a nearby restaurant, I decided to check Raj Kinara out again. I'm so glad that the other restaurant has stopped serving food! My wife and I knew that this place was special the moment we walked in. The fountain in the centre and the decor were really beautiful, and a glimpse at the great experience that was to come. The complementary poppadoms and chutneys to start were very welcome. The tandoori mixed platter was large and tasted so good. The rice sides tasted great as well, but unfortunately we accidentally ordered more than we could eat (post-gym hunger convinced our brains that our stomachs were bigger than they actually are) so we did not manage to eat as much as we wanted. Fortunately, the excellent staff came to the rescue! One of the waiters suggested how many bags and containers we would need to pack up our food, so we were able to take our plentiful leftovers home. I can't wait till tomorrow to finish off what we started this evening! We're definitely coming back. The price is well worth the quantity and taste of the food and the excellent service you receive. Edit: I just came back a second time and the poppadoms are definitely not complementary. The food was still good, and I will be coming back again.

Great food. Not sure there is much trust for large groups by one of the staff members demanding we must pay. We were always going to pay. We enjoyed the food very much. Staff at bar were lovely.
