Kills me to write this as I've loved this place the first couple of times I had it, but me and my partner came down with really bad food poisoning from here this weekend, it can't have been anything else either as it was the only thing we both ate. Please be careful

Been getting take aways from there since I moved to Cardiff 20+ years ago. Even used to order from there when I lived in Llantrisant. Great vegetarian selection
I'm sorry to say that the quality of food from this take away has rapidly declined recently. On the last 2 occasions it has been difficult to find meat in any of the meat dishes. My chicken curry last night was 'onion curry'. I managed to find 3 pieces of chicken. The rice was crusty around the edge...sorry to say I don't think we'll be going back after being customes for many years.

I was shocked, when I got my food home, that was not Chinese food at all, is was not even rateable, never again. You should be ashamed to even sell food like that. DO NOT USE GO ELSE WHERE.
I never leave bad reviews but on this occasion I must. I just went into the New Empire to order food and looked at the menu to see what I could order. As required by Law, Natasha's Law, all allergens must be stated on the menu. They are not. There is a sign that lists foods people can be allergic to and says they are in some of the meals, If you have an allergy ask a member of staff for advice. Ok. So I ask " can you tell me which vegetable dishes have gluton in them" the answer was, "some do some dont" I asked for a pen so I could mark off what I could eat. She gave me a pen and just looked at me. A lady came in and she said " move away I have customer" Im errrr " what? " she again told me to move she had a customer. Well I am a customer! But I thought ok I dont want someones food going cold so I moved aside pen and menu in hand and waited. She served the lady and then just ignored me. She shuffled paper, picked things up put them down and refused to look at me leaving me standing infront of her feeling very uncomfortable. More customers came in and she happily served them. At which point I said " i'm sorry to of troubled you" and left. That is disgusting customer service by any standards.
Friendly staff and quick service. The food was really good as well as the portion sizes. We are definitely coming back here again to try some other options from the extensive menu.
