   Matalan offers a fantastic selection of clothing and home goods at great prices. There’s something for everyone, and you can find some real bargains. The only downside was that it felt colder inside than outside, which made shopping a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, a solid place for budget-friendly shopping!

   I’d say 3 and a half stars. But that wasn’t an option. The process was ridiculously easy and quick. The lady that looked my car over was wonderful. It loses stars because it gave a valuation on my 6 year old car of 7600 and even when I went there and the lady said my car was immaculate and had only 13500 miles on it. So so low. When she went through the computer it went down to 6900. Also the fact they charge you 89 pound when they are already knocking off plenty off the value. I just didn’t have the time to sell private. But cars similar to mine with similar mileage were going for 8+. So they will have made plenty without the 89 pound charge.

   A big Matalan by Northern standards with a large assortment of clothes, even some over-sized clothes on offer. We went shopping for undies, hankies and socks here and were very happy with what we got. I can't understand the other reviewers' problems, the staff were lovely and very helpful.

   Only issue I have with this store is the self checkout machines. Seems they have one person helping customers on like 6/7 machines when they simply could just put real people on a checkout and 1 or maybe 2 self checkout machine
