   We visited here for the first time and will return again. It has a lovely beer garden with a grass area, several benches and a children's play area and the staff were all attentive and friendly.

   I am bias, as The Glen is out local. But, we called in after a walk, with our two boys. The owners are great, asked if they could do us a couple of pizzas, they obliged with no hesitation (it was a Sunday, so Sunday lunch is on the menu). We only ordered margarita's, the pizzas were phenomenal, our boys loved them. So did I, any scraps they had left. They were fresh, Italian style. The pints were top notch. The Glen (in Gilstead. Not the Old Glen house in Baildon) is a great secluded gem, with a fantastic beer garden, definitely worth a visit for anyone who craves a proper country style pub, without to much travel. It's also 10-15 minutes walk from Shipley Glen, it's well worth a visit.

   havent been to this pub for almost 2 decades. I know it had been due to close but rescued and very glad it has. Its kept its atmosphere while being modern. Nice conservatory and plenty of green space for kids (and adults) to enjoy. I won't leave it so long next time to visit.

   Good setting and nice staff however since under new management the food portions are not at all enough for the price you pay. The food itself is lovely however you find yourself hungry again shortly after. This has been said by a few people all having various meals on different occasions. It is a shame because otherwise it’s a great place.

   Four of us went for lunch. Good welcome and beer but the food was average. There was a large party also having lunch and perhaps this contributed to the steak pie being too 'well done' for my taste. Both salads were generous but there was less chicken / avocado than one would expect. I'm sorry this seems like a more negative review than intended as we have had lovely food at the Glen in the past. We did not complain at the time because honestly we were more interested in catching up with old friends and were not going to spoil the occasion.So to sum up, the food was OK but not up to the Glen's usual standard.

   Visited for a birthday party in August 21. Good location and good choice of beer on tap. The menu is limited and basic but the food served is very nice and fairly priced. A really good spot to sit out back in the beer garden on hot summer afternoons. The yard to the rear has a small park for smaller children which is a nice feature.
