Having been to the Noble Comb a number of years ago for food and disappointed, we thought it only fair to give it another try. The food was better this time but for nearly 18 pounds I did expect better. My review is only about the 16oz steak with chips , onion rings and peas. The chips were fine. Peas cold and and a little dry, the 2 small onion rings were also cold. My partners steak which was medium was OK. Mine which was well done was chewy and dry. The chew wasn't the cooking but the gristle that was in it. I felt little use in saying something as I couldn't imagine the staff could have done much to remedy it. The place itself is nice and had a good atmosphere. The staff were as nice as they could be . Maybe I will have a burger next time

We visited here as a group of 11 last night (23/12/25 @6pm). We reserved the table beforehand which was very easy to do from their website. We pre booked the festive menu, again super easy with loads of dietary options . As it happens it wasn't overly busy which was a blessing to be honest. The service we received was just fantastic. I think the lad was called Lewis (i had shandy so could be completely wrong lol) he was so sweet and helpful. The chap behind the bar was also really nice and helpful. Itβs been a while since we've had great customer service in a pub. The food came and it was all really tasty. We couldn't fault our visit at all. In the spirit of honestly i will say we havnt been here for a while due to the service and food not being fantastic the last few visits but we will never say never and know that staff and the chefs often change. Thank you for a great night and Merry Christmas x

We were having friends and family dinner, portion are generous, and service even when busy was faster than expected. Staff is friendly even though it was busy evening, fresh salads and food, generally worth visiting if you got a chsnce, variety of food, it is a pub so you can expect pub favs , also daily offers, if you are a ,Blue badgeβ holder you get discount ( not in offers) but really worth it, you wonβt be disappointed!

Everything was so good with this pub. Food was the main reason we came here although they didnβt have much guest ale options. We four of us from London had such a good time here over the last couple days. The staffs were fantastic too!

Today's choice was the Mega Breakfast which was spot on minus the small issue of there weren't a lot of beans on the plate, maybe a spoonful at most. Everything else was top notch, tasty & hot.

Just got home from a very pleasant experience. Considering how busy the place was i can't fault the waiting time, which was less that 40 minutes, service was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. Well done to everyone involved. Credit where credit is due. Will definitely go back again.

"Just OK exactly what you'd expect from a cheap franchise pub chain restaurant" Stopped in ibis for 4 nights ate next door that this place 3 of them wouldn't normally, I travel with work alot alone but this time was with a group so just went local, in a nut shell it was OK cheap and pub chain simple cheap food, few take aways don't order steak it was like an old boot tough AF, wings n chicken strips don't come with anything on them asked for buffalo wings there was literally nothing on them you have to every time ask for some sauce for them, chicken new york is OK burgers decent it's basically what your expecting from a cheap chain pub food place nothing super terrible not unexpectedly good or out.

I often go to the Noble Comb, staff are lovely, friendly and polite. However, two weeks ago I ordered a lasagne. When it came it looked OK, looked a bit too microwaved. As I got a fork full, I noticed what looked like carrots. I asked a member of staff to ask the chef if he had put carrots in as I am allergic in that they make me sick. When she came back to the table she said they come prepackaged and on checking the ingredients it had carrots. I've never heard of carrots in a lasagne. However, this was dealt with very professional indeed, cannot fault the staff on their thoughtfulness. Two days ago, we went and I ordered a classic new yorker, I think it was cold. Looked very over microwaved. However, as you can see, it looks dry but, the chicken was quite succulent although my daughter said hers was a bit dry. Seems all their food comes prepacked rather than cooked from scratch. Won't stop me going again though.
