“My first visit with friends after work, and I was blown away with the service, value, quality of food, and a great atmosphere. This place was packed on a Thursday night, and I can see why. £12.95 for a two course meal is fantastic, served with a choice of good value extras, and cool Peronni on draught. I would highly recommend this place, and I shall be returning soon.”

“In my opinion, this is the best coffee shop in Saltaire by far. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming, the coffee is delicious, and the toast and cinnamon buns are always delicious! I’m quite perplexed at some of the other poor reviews, especially concerning the staff not being friendly; in my experience these are the most friendly staff in any coffee shop in Saltaire by far, in other coffee shops, they can barely crack a smile, the coffee is cold, overpriced, and the environment is not comfortable at all. I’m also confused as to complaints about space to accommodate prams as anyone can see if a pram was brought to a table, there would be no room for people to safely walk around so clearly a health and safety issue. Keep doing what you’re doing Quaffery, you’re awesome!”

“We started our evening at this wonderful pub. The walls and ceilings are covered in pub memorabilia. They had a good 10 or so beers on tap including some Belgian ales. Great atmosphere.”

“I absolutely love it here. My first visit was around 2 weeks ago. As soon as I walked in the door I was made to feel so welcome. People are really friendly,the lady behind the bar was ace. There was a band on they were actually quite good. Love it here. Its going to be the one pub I'm gunna visit every week with all my sister's.”

“Myself, my Husband and our little boy popped in for a quick family meal. We couldn’t fault the food or service. The staff were really accommodating and brought out or little boys food first and made sure he had cutlery he could use. The food was hot, well presented and came out quick. “What a find this was. First impressions on entering the hotel, noticed that the garden was well tended with a neat, mowed lawn and pretty border flowers. A warm welcome and advice on where to park the car. Clean, modern and tidy throughout. Our spacious room overlooked the front garden and church on the road side, but was extremely quiet. The window opened fully, which is such a blessing as I do like fresh air, most hotels' windows only open a fraction. The bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom, very clean and midern, with plenty of fluffy white towels and a powerful shower. There's a hairdryer and iron if needed. Plenty of sockets to plug in your gadgets. Free WiFi. Smart tv. Breakfast was spot on, served by very friendly ladies, it came quickly and was hot and delicious, with quality bacon and sausage. Whilst waiting for friends, we had a short walk into the town centre. Which was quaint and had a friendly, warm feel to it. Close to pubs and eating places. Salts mill, Saltaire not far away, and a short journey into Bradford, which is a lovely city, with lots of historic architecture. Perfect. Will definitely be staying here again.”

“Visit the Malt shovel monthly with Husband for Karaoke on Saturday nights. Great Karaoke host and good sound system. Cosy atmosphere, friendly crowd and attentive staff. Adequate Seating inside and outside. Clean toilets. Food is good and a varied menu. Great choice of traditional puddings and desserts. Wide selection of Drinks and cocktails at the average price. We park across the road rear of the shops.”

My friend who is coeliac was well catered for. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Water and treats available for dogs too.”

“A good old fashioned "local pub". Ideal for the real ale drinker. Plenty of televisions for those who want to watch football. Always plenty of staff, so you are not waiting ages, to get your round in. However the noise is something to contend with. Because of the televisions, customers are shouting over the noise, to hold conversations. At times it can be overwhelming.”
