Sells beer is nearby. I wanted local beer. Tick, tick- win. Didn't order food and wasn't after atmosphere, so can't comment

This place I discovered walking around through lockdown but it’s great to see it back to life it’s brilliant for a friday tea time pint or on match days when brighouse town are at home it’s just ideal to n from the game the landlord is a really friendly welcoming person plus the staff do look after you they have a good selection of beers on . The stunning feature is the beer garden it’s a sun trap but open to the wind but to me it’s just a great all round pub they don’t get any hassle plus it’s a great place to go .

Great local pub with a reasonable selection of ales. The lady working behind the bar when I got there was the epitome of an excellent and attentive professional at this game. Knew exactly what was going on, even though it was busy, was taking orders from the next person whilst getting money from the last, and chatting to the regulars without the slightest fluster or error. There is an excellent beer garden out back which was an excellent sun trap and would be great for a lazy afternoon. The pub, being an old building, stayed cool enough to be pleasant refuge from the sun on the hot day I was there.

Having been a customer of the Old Pond for a number of years , but only with limited visits I have always found it friendly and welcoming. On this occasion the welcome could not have been more rude and unwelcoming. Having been to a number of pubs shortly after the relaxation of lockdown without exception they have been welcoming to all, and really pleased to see customers coming back. At the Pond, my mate and I appeared to be an unnecessary inconvenience despite the fact we were happy with any changes to process due to Covid. Won't be going back until the management is changed.
