Ive not visited in quite a while and the difference was incredible!!!! Id gone to look for a friend and she wasnt there but the whole place was alive with friendly faces and a NEW landlord & crew !@!@!! Fantastic atmosphere, awesome people sadly minus a few old faces that i really loved but nothing lasts forever so they say and this place is now just buzzing along with a top notch crew who know the business inside out so long may the Jubilee ladt under its proud new owner just dont know what, where or who yet but ill find out and will be back pretty soon when im not on a dancefloor elsewhere!! And the original DJ is back there too!! Can it get ANY better?? Impossible ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a really friendly traditional alehouse and has had a full refurbishment so it really looks the business. It's perfect for sports fans as all the big screens are in place. The customers tend to be mainly middle aged and I've never known people doing anything but enjoying themselves in here and have had around a dozen visits in the last 5 months. Never seen any trouble & everyone ive spoken to has been a delight friendly and simply out for an evening with friends. The landlord and his staff are brilliant so top marks there. He's usually behind the bar & working just as hard as his staff who couldn't be more helpful if they tried. On my last visit just after I'd done a big shop around town I turned up with a shopping trolley & a big bag if stuff which they put on a safe place for .e without hesitation, top marks to them every time ☆☆☆☆☆ Request any music genteel & they kindly play it, thete some room for dancing and often other customers join in so you can have a great party atmosphere within minutes. All round & other than one friends slightly odd greeting its getting 110% score frome cheers guys you're doing an awesome job.!! P,S, there's also a pool table in a separate room and it's all extremely well kept & clean so obviously cared about. Cheers to all , you're doing a brilliant job xx I visited again last Friday as some friends Craig & Megan were singing and I's not seen their show before so, what did I think ?? Absolutely loved them, a stunning couple with brilliant voices, Craig's a top notch guitarist and a wide ranging songbook with both modern and more classic tracks. Imagine my surprise when they sang the old Motown classic 'Tears of a Clown ' by Smoikey Robinson !! This was the first single I bought and I still love that music genre 50+ years on !! Back to the important people. An excellent show and can't wait to see them again, well done both , really worth turning out for so thank you for being the icing on top of the cake xx I popped in here last Wednesday to see if my friend was in and just couldn't believe it they'd only got a new Northern Soul event on !! Must have been fate or something!! There was only a few people in but were they having an absolute ball ?? Absolutely & why not ?? I don't think there was a DJ tucked away but I was told its a new non profit that started by a local souler & it's to raise money for a local non profit operation that gets excellent help but isn't getting any funding so it's purely to support a group of , so.im.told, like minded individuals who want to help the most needy in society!! I'll tell you more about that aspect when I go to another of their gigs. I did recognise a fee of the older faces as folk I knew years ago when I was growing up in the area and not sure who's still with us these days but thankfully these 3 still are !! A really happy & extremely friendly evening so may whoever behind it go far !! PS. I was so overawed I forgot to pay but happy to double up next time round. My score ?? Got to be at least 14/10 because as a new gig & the people who went to check it out or just enjoy what was a fabulous soundtrack, they certainly know their souling stuff !!!
