   Avoid – No quality control in remanufactured products. Faulty Product Cost Me £600 Extra. I purchased a remanufactured steering rack from Hirsche, had it professionally installed, and it worked initially. However, after just 30 minutes of driving, it stopped working completely. Strangely, it would start working again after the car was left to cool for a couple of hours. When I contacted Hirsche, they claimed it must be due to an unrelated electrical fault in my car. I took the car for diagnostics and ended up replacing the alternator, which cost £400, but the problem persisted. Eventually, I bought a steering rack from Western Power Steering, had it fitted, and it worked perfectly with no issues. That reinstallation cost me another £200. In total, Hirsche’s faulty part ended up costing me an additional £600, not to mention the time and stress involved. There seems to be no proper quality control on the parts they sell. Be careful – I would not trust their remanufactured products again.

   First time dealing with this company was very smooth and happy the communication between us was excellent as ebay listed the wrong rack for my vw passat after placing order came within a day unfortunately was wrong due to ebay stating it fits my car after messaging they was very helpful I even went to pick correct one up and return the wrong one I've had the new rack fitted and very very happy I would highly recommend anyone needing a steering rack to use theses guys absolutely top service many thanks

   When I was stuck for a rack which I urgently needed, they went above and beyond. Found them on ebay sent a message at 7.00 at night, had an answer within 10 minutes, I was shocked!! Said if I paid and ordered it they would ship the next day. So I took a chance. True to their word it was dispatched by 9am the next morning and I had it in my hands the next day. The reconditioned rack was cheaper than I could buy a second hand rack motor for on e-bay. I cannot thank them for the agro it saved me from my daughter by getting her car back on the road so quickly.
