Ben the Morrisons Café in Coventry lots of times the only supermarket café that I actually like to be fair it’s great value for money as well. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service. They’re really good. Prices are good. The dealers there’s a kids table with crafts and colouring et cetera as well, which is really good. Atmosphere is always good too Would recommend

Nice place for a quick bite, the food is moderate and like other branches has the self order machine. The staff are very polite and welcoming, the food for kids is free which we got fish fingers and peas and was lovely, there are not many highchairs available though.

I hate, absolutely hate leaving bad reviews, but here we are. My husband and I came at half three on a Saturday afternoon, there were only three tables occupied. I ordered chunky steak pie mash and peas, husband ordered the chicken tikka masala. I can not explain how bad my food looked when it arrived. It had clearly been placed on the plate stone cold and microwaved, but the pie had heated and the gravy and mash and peas had not. They weren’t even warm, flat out cold. The young man on the till could not have been more helpful and apologetic to be fair, but there is only so much he could do. In order to get a refund you have to leave the cafe and go to customer service which is in the supermarket, you don’t get refunded from the till you paid into. All in all very poor.

Worst fish and chips. Ordered a mini portion of fish and it was tiny, over cooked.

We were staying locally and decided to pop in for breakfast in the cafe, that was a mistake as we were time limited and service was shockingly slow. Once we had already ordered and paid we overheard a member of staff telling another customer that it was at least a 25 or 30 minute wait for hot food. Not long after taking our seats the cafe was forced to close to new customers as the wait time had become too long. If the cafe had been packed it would have been understandable but there were plenty of unoccupied tables. Only the young man serving on the till seemed to have any sense of the need for maintaining some pace to service. Every other member of staff I saw seemed to be on a go slow, plodding along with no sense that there was a situation to be dealt with. The food was of a decent standard thankfully, the hash browns were particularly nice.

Had scampi, chips and peas and treacle sponge with a hot chocolate, came to £7.50 and was very tasty. Chips were excellent as was the scampi. Restaurant was quite on sunday lunchtime with very little waiting time. Easy car parking. Very good value for money.

Good fish and chips. Reasonable price for the quality and quantity of food. Quick service. Friendly staff. Plenty of space for seating. Good options available for coffee. Has improved it's services over the years which has made it more interesting. Plenty of options for kids meals as well.
