Nice range of cask ale and traditional inferior. Banquettes, small tables, a punny pub. Good sense of community and a publician who's there

Good range of beers, large bar area with comfortable seating. Deserves to be a lot busier; it’s a lovely place to enjoy a quiet well-kept pint.

Very good pub not far from Leicester Railway Station. Seven cask beers - and 1 cider - on handpump when I last visited including a black IPA. Quiet after the Spurs game at the King Power.

A classic, firmly on the shabby side of chic, great range of ales, at reasonable prices, bare floorboards, and no frills seating.

Simply the best. And consider the both words separately and then both together. Benjamin (the rare french who pays drinks :p ) great place for real pub social experience. Best authentic place in Leicester.

The simple fact that they evidently threw someone out for ordering a vodka Redbull is reason enough to come here. Apart from that it's a very traditional pub, with a wide variety of beers, some locally crafted. Made the mistake of ordering one of them, not my particular cup of tea that one, but each to his own. Sat next to a slow burning coal fire, enjoyed the experience. Passing by? Pop in!
