Needed to leave a review here as after multiple conversations with the staff about my sons dairy allergy at the cafeβ he ended up getting sick from them putting cheese on his vegan lunch. He is 9 months old and vomited for the next 2 hours. This is so very dangerous and we are terrified of this so we try so hard to express his allergy when weβre out. On top of that, I asked for a doctor at the hotel to just check him as he is so young and we were away from home across there world but a doctor never showed. Felt so bad for my little one and failed by the this beautiful historic place.

This place is taking the absolute p with the prices they are charging. Two ice lollies for Β£6.75? The interior of the cafe hasnβt been updated in about 10 years apart from a small soft play area added. The food is mediocre. The staff are miserable. Whereβs all the money going to? This whole place needs closing down, refurbished and then food catered to the prices charged or a reduction in price to match the current standard.

This place is a total miss. The food was awful, and to make things worse, the service was incredibly slow. We waited forever for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was ..... . Not worth the time or money. Avoid at all costs!

Actually much better than expected! There was no nachos available so we went for loaded fries and a salad. Really good size portions and freshly made. You do have to wait at the end of the bar for your food which is annoying, they would benefit from a buzzer system if you sit outside. Dog friendly which is good, they tried to give us wooden cutlery for outside but we used the regular ones and returned them Friendly staff, lots of choice and more yummy than expected

Very over priced. 2x Latte and 1x tea came to Β£10 and it was just cheap trash coffee from a vending machine. Starbucks would have been cheaper!! The cafe itself was not very clean and the sides were all sticky etc. This is obviously one of those places that puts profit ahead of quality and as a result really really letβs visit to such a nice part of the world down massively. I would avoid and just bring your own food and drink.

Special thanks to Tracey for going the extra mile for our little girl today (even telling her that her snack had come from Fraggle Rock!). The coffee and cake were perfect on a cold day too.

Whoever the brown hair girl was who was working today 8th September until close at 5.30pm clearly hates her job and shows no customer service whatsoever. "What time does the cafe close?" - "don't know". Do you have any ice? "No." Plus our friend with a pushchair couldn't get out of the narrow door we had to leave from, asked if she could move a box (empty btw) to get out and she sighed audibly as if she was asked to work overtime on a Sunday. Stroppy teen.
