   This is a busy pub, a trades pub. Has a real beer garden (overlooking morrisons) unlike the forge inn. Good beer selection and two ales on (tiger and sunchaser) which means they are selling ale, however the beer I had was off and apparently it was the first pull of the day (1545). Tasted like the pipes hadn't been cleaned and the staff were not cellermen. Now this, again, is a busy pub, this place would do far better ditching the ale and concentrating in keg. Its got more character than the forge.

   Great food and prices, brilliant friendly staff who make you feel very welcome. We stopped off after shopping, and the atmosphere was lovely, especially with the open fire, comfy seats. Garden outside for warmer days and a covered smoking area. Would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again.

   Staff are great. Went for a Sunday roast. Food was good, great to have a couple of vegetarian options too. Marked down by one star as the roast stuffing was sloppy which wasn’t to my taste. Reasonably priced. The service was timely even though the place was full.
