We recently celebrated our son Leon’s first birthday at this restaurant, and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the whole event was organized perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, everything was beautifully decorated, and the team showed true professionalism in every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special day – highly recommended! See you next time ❤️

We had the most amazing wedding day here! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food was amazing and exceeded all expectations – every guest commented on how good it was. The staff were so lovely, attentive, and genuinely helpful, making sure every detail was taken care of. Hannah was amazing during the planning process, and Mae and the rest of the team were amazing on the day, making sure everything went according to plan. They listened to all our requests and followed through flawlessly, which gave us complete peace of mind. The professionalism, warmth, and care shown by the entire team made our wedding day truly unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough!

Amazing. Tales of Tea is exceptional. My sister and I have allergies and they were amazing. The food was all homemade and delicious! Warm cheese tarts, fabulous cakes and scones. The most amazing jam. Excellent service, thank you Sham and the team. The venue is stunning. I would 100% recommend this to anyone. Often nowadays afternoon is over priced and you are served mass produced cakes the hotel or venue has bought in. Without a doubt all the food here is made on site. Delicious and wonderful.

I just happened upon this place during my wanderings around Coventry, and what a very happy discovery it was! I arrived mid-afternoon and was seated straight away. The decor and atmosphere are delightful and the service was friendly and efficient. I decided to have the afternoon tea - with a glass of champagne because why not?! - and I was extremely pleased with the spread - 5 savoury and 3 sweet items as well as a scone with jam and clotted cream. It was definitely enough for one person and definitely delicious! It may be more expensive than some other menu items, but I think it was better value for money. The whole experience was lovely!

I usually don’t post reviews, especially bad ones, but this experience was bellow my expectations, especially that this was my first afternoon tea and I was looking forward to having a nice time. Firstly, when me and my boyfriend arrived, the host put us next to a table of 10 (really loud) girls, that immediately ruined the whole atmosphere that the beautiful location has. In my opinion they shouldn’t have given the tables next to them to any other customers, but because the restaurant was almost full already we decided to stay there. Our biggest disappointment was the food.. I ordered the traditional one and my boyfriend had the savoury one. My sandwiches were alright, but his savouries were awful, he couldn’t even eat the croquette and he had to spit it out.. The scones were dry and the desserts were just ok, nothing special for that price. The staff didn’t come to check on us and we could see they were unprepared. The location is beautiful but the food and service were definitely not what I expected them to be. Won’t be coming back.

A lovely afternoon tea,it looks quite small but actually more than enough, choice of teas, delicious cakes. My husband had the weavers afternoon tea which came with sausage Roll and pork pie, he really enjoyed it. The old crypt is lovely. Would visit again.

I went to this restaurant with my family (wifey and 2 teenagers) for lunch. We were properly welcome by Alice and we sat in comfy chairs before we were given the menu. The ambience is great, not excessively opulent but it actually radiates warmth. Food & drinks arrived on time - please make sure that you try the freshly baked scones - they're the best! The staff are friendly & they pay proper attention to your requests. I just love this restaurant

What a gem of a place. Beautiful and relaxing ambience in the medieval building. Service was second to none. Beautiful coffee and food. Will definitely be back. We went at the end of the day as they were preparing to close but they went out of their way to accommodate us. Thank you and good luck with your beautiful venture.
