   My father has recently passed on and I went to Goughs in Corsham to collect his will which I had arranged collection for by telephone. On arrival I explained to the girl on reception the reason for my visit who begrudgingly stopped cradling her coffee and proceeded to address me in the most offhand way. The lady in question definitely needs to go on a customer facing course. If I had the choice I would not ever use Goughs based on this experience.

   I first came into contact with Eleanor Wood of Goughs solicitors in June of 2018. I chose Goughs as they were local to my parents who could provide childcare while I met with a solicitor. My parents have also used Goughs for a number of years for other reasons and are very happy with the service they receive. Things weren’t going well at home and my husband at the time was throwing legal documentation at me and I needed some advice, so I booked up for a free initial consultation. At this stage I was not sure that I would need a solicitor to start divorce proceedings but just wanted to get some advice on my situation. I found Eleanor Wood to be very easy to talk to and understanding about my situation and was able to talk me through things from a legal point of view. She made everything very clear for me and discussed what action I needed to take if I wanted to take things further. Things escalated from this point and my husband filed for divorce. The divorce has formed a very small part of my current case, which is still ongoing nearly 3 years down the line. Throughout proceedings I have found Eleanor Wood to be extremely professional and very dedicated to my case. There have been times where I have needed an immediate response and I have received that every time. She has listened to my concerns and kept me in check from a legal point of view. She has taken the time to become familiar with my case and almost knows the situation as well as I do which makes things easier when discussing issues that have arisen. Eleanor has recommended counsel to support me in the different aspects of my marital breakup. I have relied heavily on Eleanor Wood to get many things agreed through the courts as my ex husband and I have had differing views of things. I still often seek advise from Eleanor as to my conduct in relation to the order to ensure I am compliant with the intentions of the judge. Despite having a large workload, Eleanor always makes time to support me in whatever way she can. I could not have asked for a more supportive lawyer to help me through these difficult times. Eleanor always puts herself out for me, even working on days when she shouldn't be. Her care and dedication is second to none.
