Food and drink is pleasant enough, as are the staff, but at £21 for two sandwiches and two coffees, I’d expect the decor and furniture to be less shabby. The prices are ridiculous. They’re clearly cashing in on being one of the few food and drink places in the airport. It feels like taking advantage.

We were served by Dominica at Nero in Birmingham Airport, and she was absolutely fantastic! The coffee and hot chocolate were amazing, clearly made with care and attention to detail. Dominica was also making sure the whole place stayed spotless and went around making sure the place was clean, which is impressive given how busy airport branches can get. Given also how often I come to the airport and don’t find that well service. Her friendly and professional attitude really stood out — a lovely start to my journey!

Good little cafe located in a quiet corner of the main departures hall. Big counter perfect for grab and go, plus they also have a large seating area perfect if you arrived to early like us to check in baggage. The coffee and fresh cakes here is always top notch. Especially the Italian cream buns, delicious!

I would like to leave some great feedback about Kira, she was our waiter. Absolutely amazing human being, so lovely kind passionate and positive. Smiley and thoughtful. Normally, you see lots of tables in cafes like star bucks cafe nero not cleared and staff just moping around waiting to be asked to clear a table, but Kira, was on it all the time, making sure we were ok and the tables were ready for the next customer, organising tables and chairs as people just leave things in a mess before they go. Absolute asset you your cafe at Bham Airport. Credit where due and i hope Cafe Nero company recognise Kira for her hard passionate work. Steven Singh

A few mornings ago I came into this nero before flying out. I wasn’t feeling the best that morning and one of the baristas saw this and asked me if I was okay, a red headed young lady, she had me sit down and before I knew it I was feeling like I was going to pass out. She got first aiders to come and eventually when I did nearly pass out they were there to catch me. The employee got me some food and drink to help me feel better and refused my money for it. She got me something to be sick in as I told her I didn’t feel too good. This employee went above and beyond for me and was extremely kind and caring. She even kept checking in on me after the first aiders had gone. She was a star to me that day and deserves all the recognition.

Honestly the Hygiene was very bad, you could even see that the cutlery and tea cups were not clean. For the price being charged the Hygiene and service should be better.
