    Free Brake Check - We needed reassurance from an independent specialist as MG had told us that our 2 year old, low mileage e-car needed new brakes parts following a routine service. Halfords found no faults or excessive wear. Stating that all is good for at least another year. Great news, great service from expert mechanics who value their reputation over sales commissions! I know where I will turn next with any car service needed. Fast, friendly and reassuring. Highly recommended.

    We used Halfords in Huddersfield for our van repair. The staff were amazing. Van needed more work than originally thought but staff kept us up to date and were fantastic would recommend to anyone.

    It seems in my efforts to book an interim service and MOT via the internet I only successfully managed to book the service, which I did not notice. On arriving to book my car in the male on reception pointed out my error. We did discuss trying to fit in the MOT but he was very unhelpful and was actually quite passively aggressive in his attitude towards my dilemma. His computer appeared to "Say No" to adjusting the booking and he was more than happy just to cancel the booking and had a couldn't care less attitude. This individual in my opinion really does need some retraining and an attitude adjustment, and if he's the manager he needs to reflect on how his attitude appears to his staff. I accept the booking error was my mistake but would really expect a more polite and helpful service. I chose to cancel the booking and I "think" a refund was processed, though was told this would take up to 10 days. Disgusting and very unacceptable. In view of that I could only give 1 star though zero is more appropriate. I therefore cannot refer people to this Halfords Service Centre. I have used other Halfords branches in Brighouse and Bradford but this Huddersfield branch did not match their professionalism at all. I did manage to book a similar service at a local garage for £30 less, and the personal service offered was 100% better than offered at this branch. 28/4/ 2022. Have now had a response from Halfords Customer Service to discuss the matter. I appreciate their response, asking me to ring them, to discuss further. However the customer service damage was done in store at the time and cannot be resolved satisfactorily at this later stage. Not really looking for an apology but was looking for a polite service in store. The car has now been MOT'd and serviced at a good local independent which I personally would advise others to do. In view of that the matter is closed.

    I was waiting for 30 minutes for my tyres doing before I was told that they hadn't even been delivered, and that I had to reschedule for the next day. Not happy. They said it wasn't their fault, that it was the delivery company they use that had made the mistake, and I believe them, but it doesn't get rid of the fact that I had to leave work early yet another day to get my tyres done. A discount would've been nice.

    Needed a replacement tyre. Booked on the internet for next day service. Competitors couldn't fit me in for a further 2 days wait. Paid slightly more but I needed the replacement sooner rather than later. Their services were very quick and done well. Will use again.
