I have bought AGM batteries from multi cell 20 years ago for my boat, each set of 5 - 160 amp deep cycle have lasted over 10 years each set fantastic service
Amazing service, came across the company advertising to recell horse clipping machine batteries. As it was quite local to me I took my battery pack to them. They went out of their way to do the job while I waited. They then explained that there may be a problem with the switch. Luckily everything is now perfect since they put new cells in. Lovely people. Thank you
Same problem as Ian Scott! Bought a Lucas battery which failed to keep its charge after just a few months. I use a CTEK charger to keep it charged but now it will not take a charge at all. Told this is wear and tear and there is no guarantee. Also told this battery will wear out in less than 12 months. So it’s really an expensive throw away battery and not really rechargeable. Shoddy response from a large company. Don’t waste your time or money dealing with these people - instead buy elsewhere from those that will offer genuine customer service.

Bought a ride on battery from their online eBay outlet to replace a previous 4 year old ride on mower, was sent a Lucas which lasted 3 months so sent back under “ warranty “ to be told it’s not a manufacturing fault “ technical dept “ advised it was either cracked terminals/ undercharging or overcharging despite the fact it’s always been used on a smart charger to avoid any such issue, bottom line had the battery 3 months sent it back no refund despite Lucas having a no quibble guarantee on their website so the supplier really should have no problem replacing the unit, Consumer rights ignored ( under 6 months you have the legal right or repair or replace ). Update Lucas have replied positively and trading standards will now take it forward.

Cant speak for the products as they go straight to my clients but Multicell and Stephen Sharrocks in particular are really A Class in customer service, always going the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. I haven't had any complaints about their products so that can only surely be another plus! Even the delivery guys are lovely and totally personable.
