Stopped in a few months back whilst hiking across Warwickshire and couldn't have been greeted and treated more pleasantly. The lady who served me couldn't have been kinder and was more than happy to refill my water supplies for the last stretch of my walk to Rugby. If I ever walk through this qay again, I would more than look forward to stopping in. 10/10

Just had Sunday lunch here, disappointed not to be able to score higher as id heard good things from others. Not that busy, only 5 tables occupied when we arrived (13 people), however we waited 45 minutes for our starter to arrive and then just short of another hour for our roast dinners...by which time two tables of customers had walked out due to their long wait for food. The bar manager was conspicuous by his absence, sending junior staff to face the disgruntled customers...disappointing as he only needed to be upfront and tell people they were short staffed in the kitchen and experiencing delays. Food was okay but spoilt by the long wait.

Not only friendly but also cosy and serving delicious food, this Pub is almost a hidden gem in a small village near rugby. With a very varied and interesting menu, it's almost impossible not to find something thst you'll like. Good selection of ales, including 6X and TT's Landlord. We were positively surprised and will definitely come back for 2-for-1 burger Saturdays or the Sunday roast!

Very impressed by the range of gluten free menu options, especially the battered fish and chips! Delicious food, really lovely attentive but non-intrusive service and obviously very, very popular. Booking ahead advised... We arrived just before the kitchen opened and they were able to squeeze us in, but next time we'll definitely book in advance!

So pleased we visited for lunch. An appealing lighter lunch menu, served alongside a broad main menu with pub classics and a few modern twists. Definitely something for everyone. The food was homemade, delicious and plentiful. And the friendliness of the service was top notch. We sat on the patio with our occasionally βfunnyβ border collie. Well, he couldnβt have been made more welcome, and it made us so much more relaxed and able to enjoy our lunch. 3 courses with drinks for under Β£30pp - and the quality exceeded the prices. Thank you so much. We canβt wait to return very soon to try the rest of the menu.

Great food and service. Only downside is the highchairs aren't suitable - my little one kept nearly falling out so took him out of it and had him on my lap instead - and there are no baby changing facilities.

We were due to be in the area, so called and reserved a table for Sunday lunch. The speed of service was absolutely first class, and the quality of the food was also good albeit of limited choice. However I was a little taken aback at the cost of two pints, one being a shandy, of Β£14. For this reason alone, I reduce my award to 4stars.

My friend and I went for Sunday lunch and it was delicious. Lovely fresh cooked food. Plenty of meat and vegetables all cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Will certainly be coming for a return visit.

A proper village pub with very friendly staff and locals. We only called in for a pint but will be going back to sample the food that they offer.

As the name suggests, a friendly reception and atmosphere. Food was good and portions generous. Beer was good too.
