Went to Holyhead for the first time yesterday, the food was horrible, I had the garlic focaccia for starter and it was partially burnt and the bread was so thin it was almost like eating a garlic cracker, for main course I had beef roast, when the lady was taking my order she didn’t ask how I would like it cooked as she didn’t give me a chance to say as she just started talking to other people. When it arrived the beef was dry and looked completely inedible. It was thin, dry and cold. I didn’t try it as I didn’t want to risk it. It was grey on the outside and looked almost artificial. The potatoes were completely dry I couldn’t cut most of them, the only nice thing was the sweet potato. My friends pigs in blankets were also completely black/burnt and so was the stuffing. I didn’t enjoy the meal at all. A waitress came up to clear our starter plates and said “are we ready for maincourse” in which I replied yes, I’m guessing she didn’t hear as she raised her voice and very rudely repeated the question. At the end of the meal a girl came and asked us to leave a good review and asked us to mention her as she said her manager would be glad even though she did nothing worth mentioning nor did she ask us if our meals were okay. The only good thing I can mention is that the atmosphere was nice. I don’t recommend

We've had a superb evening, celebrating my dad's birthday. We want to personally thank two members of staff. Bayleigh was very polite, patient and kind taking our food and drinks order and helping me navigate the app, I'm a bit of a technophobe. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was right for us. Kate has also been amazing, very kind and polite serving our food to the table. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks also goes to the chef team, our food was impeccable, very well cooked and we all cleared our plates. We love this pub, great atmosphere, superb service, very friendly staff. The team make it feel like a home from home. Thanks so very much to you all xxx

Absolute top notch experience. The atmosphere was amazing, as well as the food, the establishment felt welcoming, overall just a really positive experience from the moment you step a foot inside. I came last Saturday and I cannot wait to come back again. I was served by Natalie and she was the best waitress one could ask for. She was efficient, welcoming, had great customer service and overall made my experience so much more better that I have absolutely nothing to complain about! I highly recommend visiting this place if you are looking for a place with top notch service, vibes and food. 10/10

Obviously a loud meal on a Saturday night, but what else do you expect. Daisy was a fabulous server, very attentive and quick with her service! Food was decent pub grub and its dog friendly!

Ventured there from across town, warm and welcoming atmosphere, the food menu had a good selection and reasonably priced, was annoyed at the barmaid who blatantly ignored us in favour for someone who was clearly a pub regular and thought their custom was more important. Having said that the food was hot and tasty, the server was very pleasant.

Stopped in for lunch, and I ordered lasagne with side salad and a side of fries plus garlic bread , the meal came lovely and hot very tasty, cleared my plate. The service was excellent no complaints at all,, pleasant friendly staff a great team in place, working in a beautifully decorated pub / restaurant. I've ordered many different dishes off the extensive menu, and I have no complaints at all. Lovely afternoon out, well done to everyone who works there.

The Holyhead has started to become my regular weekend stop off for food and a drink. Value for money good meals, and the dog is welcome too. However after a nice meal I ordered the Exton mess sundae which When it came was just a glass of cream and fruit. when I asked where the ice cream was and isn’t it squirted cream for a Sunday I was answered we don’t use squirted cream we use whipped cream,(well no one has bothered to whip) and I certainly know after 50 yrs what Ice cream is and there was certainly no ice cream in it. Not an apology,do you want to change it, or anything. So just to let you know if you want to buy the Sunday this is what you will be getting!
