   Had Sunday lunch today, the food was perfect.. no question of there not being enough.. there was more than we could eat. A lovely pub very well laid out. Nice staff but a little overworked as it was difficult to get there attention at times. 9.9/10. We'll definitely be back.

   We love this place! We've had family birthdays here, me and my two thirty something friends come here for a meal and a catch up too! The food is fantastic, good menu selection, lovely flavours and fresh, good gin selection too. It's a lovely atmosphere too, not a stuffy old man pub, a comfortable place fir young ladies to eat, drink whilst feeling safe and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, can't do enough for you!

   What an absolute gem of a pub! Recommended by friends, Sunday lunch is a carvery and it’s one of the best if not the best in the area! Fantastic flavours, amazing roasties, lovely crisp fluffy Yorkshire puddings and amazing cauliflower cheese! Great staff and really easy to enjoy a great Sunday lunch. If you’re in the area, then get it on your list for a great Sunday carvery!

   Initially when first entering the pub, we were given a warm welcome and the young waitress who served us was very friendly and attentive. However the Sunday carvery was below average, all meats were fatty and tough, the vegetables had barely seen a boiling pan of water and the Yorkshire pudding was burnt. When asked by the manager how our meals were, we very politely said the meat selection was tough. She said she would change their butcher suppliers and then proceeded to ask all surrounding tables around us if they enjoyed their meals to belittle and embarrass us, trying to make out that our feedback wasn't justified. No compensation was offered.

   Super pub. Brews it's own beers and has guest ales on too. Really friendly staff and locals. Lovely log burner in the main eating area. Will be back for the well reputed carvery later this year!

   Clean comfy pub with a strong family run feel, friendly service where the staff are attentive but not overbearing. Our first visit for a Sunday carvery was nice and the food is excellent, 6 choices of meat and a generous portions wide selection of veg. Bad points, busy so book early, some of the furniture is showing it’s age ( it was all clean on our visit) Overall will definitely come back

   Just what a traditional pub should be! Excellent beer, amazing quality and choice at the carvery and very genuine friendly staff. 6 meats available on the day we visited… the pub also brew their own beer! Would definitely visit again
