   Recently booked my car in here as it was having running issues. I am an 18 year old student studying at university in Leicester and was nervous about bringing my car alone as I know it is common for young girls to be scammed my mechanics - I was right to worry. I was told my car needed a new set of spark plugs fitting, which I was happy to pay £130 for as I frequently drive back and forth to my parents' house in Birmingham and need my car. Shortly after picking my car up from Cambridge Auto Service, I noticed the same running issues still occurring. My car had to be taken to another garage shortly after as it was virtually un-drivable. The garage I took it to in Walsall was great and fixed my car quickly and for a reasonable price, but told me that the reason it was still having issues was because the spark plugs had not been replaced by the previous mechanic (Cambridge Auto Service) but had merely been poorly cleaned and refitted. I was (and am still) outraged that I was charged £130 for practically nothing, and I see it as a sexist act to prey on young girls' supposed lack of knowledge as a way to scam them out of money. I will definitely not be returning here and will not recommend it to anyone.
