   Excellent pub, made very welcome. Was amazed at the price of drinks, especially as we had come up from London for a gig. Super touch to allow us to get "take away" and to eat in the pub. Another nice touch was the music I requested, although not to some tastes. Until the next time.... Cheers all.

   Visited for the first time tonight after seeing Henning Wehn at The Royal Spa. Friendly customers, super friendly staff. Chap I was with wanted an Abbot beer and because no one had ordered it for a while the barmaid/Landlady pulled a few pints through and disposed of them to ensure it was fresh ale in the line, quality service. Small pub, quite brightly lit, not full though it deserved to be, dartboard. Usual standard beers and two real ales. Give it a go!

   Regular meet for our after work drinks, Vibrant Pub with great ales and different beers/lagers as well as the ones you would expect to find. Close to the train station so perfect for colleagues to get home

   This is a classic British local. Don't go if you are looking for a night club or "all the pretty people". Go to meet some locals, pet somebody's dog, have a couple good hand pulled English ales. No food though, but a couple of decent take-away shops nearby.
