   Came in for a joint birthday meal this evening and everything was fantastic. The food was brilliant, hot and good portions. What made the experience stand out was the exceptional service from Ella, she was so friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and nothing was too much trouble. She even made the effort to decorate the birthday girls puddings with a chocolate happy birthday and candles! Thank you Ella for your service and for a lovely evening!

   ABSOLUTELY love it here at the lovely Saxon Mill! Lovely ambience warm and inviting, lovely scenery over the Mill/waterwheel outside, especially in the summer, food here is lovely too service is very good, however depending when you go and how busy it is, or if it is a specific special day, like mothers day or valentine's, when it's XTRA BUSY! The service can be very slow and depends if they have enough staff on to cover special events you want to celebrate with family or friends, if this is the case, then you CAN be over looked, and wait time can be an hour+ but nevertheless, it has been recently referbed and looks and feels warm and welcoming but sometimes service can let them down sadly, it is a lovely place to come to unwind relax and enjoy a nice quiet drink .

   Was welcomed into the Saxon Mill Warwick front of house to have dinner so really glad we found it. The atmosphere was cosy and well designed decor. We received a good service from the team. The food was cooked to a high standard and the lamb was well done as requested. The restaurant was clean and being this was our first time in Coventry for a Special event was grateful that the Saxon Mill team welcomed us in to dine without a booking with the same food choices as the restaurant area. I recommend the Saxon Mill as a lovely place to done with family and friends lots of available free parking. Thank you Saxon Mill team

   The venue itself is lovely, both inside and out. We ordered food and drinks, but the food arrived so quickly that it actually came before the drinks. Unfortunately, some of the dishes were cold. We had two trio roasts, a children’s Sunday dinner, and four sides, plus a coffee with a mini pudding. The bill came to £107, which I felt was very expensive given the quality of what we received. Service was also lacking — because we were seated in a corner, the waitress rarely checked on us, and we found ourselves having to get up repeatedly to ask for things like more gravy and water. Several elements of the meal were disappointing. The seasonal greens that should have come with the roast were missing — we only realised after seeing the table next to us receive them, but by then we had already finished eating. The Yorkshire puddings were cold, and the sides were poor: the broccoli was rock hard, the dauphinoise potatoes were dry and crispy instead of soft and creamy, the cauliflower cheese barely had any sauce, and the stuffing was cold and dry. Considering we came at 2pm, we expected better. Overall, the quality did not match the price, and we left quite disappointed.

   Definitely recommend! Nice historic building (with moving wheel), green surroundings and tasty food. We celebrated a birthday here with a delicious dinner. Vicki our waitress was the perfect level of attentive and helpful, always just when we needed her. She gave us good tips on the menu and even offered us a dedicated vegan menu when she heard we were vegetarian. To top it all off, a surprise birthday message on the dessert because she heard us mention it was my wife’s birthday. Really thoughtful! Amazing evening and thanks again Vicki - we’ll be back.

   Really nice experience near the river Avon. The building and the design is very nice and cozy. It seems that it is a part of history. Still, they are well connected to technology as the menu is per scanning a QR code and also ordering via the internet. Staff is nice. The food was good, with a nice plating. Beyond the restaurant there is a path were you can enjoy a long field walking. Also you can enjoy the small lake surrounding the restaurant. The wheel of the mill is still running for the visitors to see.

   Food generally very good. Staff helpful and obliging. We had an issue with a damaged chair. This was swiftly replaced. I had the salt and pepper squid served with the most wonderful Chipotle mayonnaise dip followed by the salmon which was beautifully cooked and presented. My husband loved his spicy pizza. Sadly his starter was dissapointing but again, these things happen. I always think that when a problem arises its all about how the staff deal with it and they were exceptionally good. The site and location are great. It must be wonderful to visit on a warm summer night and eat outside beside the weir. Inside was good too.

   Great country pub with a working water wheel. This place oozes character with a modern sheen. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and has a good sense of humour. Menu was varied enough that everyone picked something they liked. A full allergy version of the menu is available on request, but not many meals could be converted to allergen-free (e.g. no gluten-free buns for burgers). Food tastes great and tasted great. As such, prices were not the cheapest but would be worth spending as a treat. In the summer, views across the water outside would be great too.
